SWERTENG nakaligtas sa kamatayan ang isang lalaking dumayo lang sa Cotabato City matapos na pumalya ang baril ng dalawang mga suspek, umaga kanina sa Purok Torion, Poblacion 1 ng lungsod.

Ang biktima ay dumalo lang sa isang family reunion nang tangkang barilin ng mga suspek.

Kinilala ni Police Station 1 Commander Major John Vincent Bravo ang biktima na si Norodin Magindra Manarasal, 56-anyos na taga Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur Agad namang rumesponde ang mga tauhan ng PNP station 1 at naabutan ang dalawang mga suspek.

PNP braces for retaliatory attacks after arrest of DI finance officer

ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat - Acting on a tip, police authorities in Maguindanao del Sur and Sultan Kudarat arrested in the hospital on Sunday a woman suspected of serving as finance officer of Dawlah Islamiya terrorist group, police said today.

Captain Joel Lebrillo, police chief of Rajah Buayan municipal police station in Maguindanao del Sur, said Racma Dinggo Hassan, who also goes by the name Halimba Ebrahim, was arrested at the Sultan Kudarat provincial hospital here on the basis of an arrest warrant against her.

P3.4-M shabu seized in Cotabato City sting

COTABATO CITY - Anti-narcotics agents seized P3.4 million worth of shabu from two dealers entrapped here Thursday, barely two days after policemen arrested three traffickers in a P2.3 million sting in Pagadian City.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region is now in custody of Solaiman Mastura Mohammad and his cohort, Bayan Mohammad Akmad, from whom its agents confiscated P3.4 million worth of shabu in a tradeoff on Thursday afternoon in Purok Katamlangan in Barangay Rosary Heights 8 in southeast of this city.

P2.3-M worth shabu seized in Pagadian sting

COTABATO CITY - Anti-narcotics agents seized P2.3 million worth of shabu from three men who fell in a sting on Tuesday in a hotel in Pagadian City.

In a statement Wednesday, the Police Regional Office 9 identified the suspects as Ronilo Toting Obedas, Niel Ampoller Sasing and Mark Jumawan Sumera, all from Maranding town in Lanao del Sur in Region 10.

The suspects were immediately frisked and cuffed after turning over 300 grams of shabu, valued at P2.3 million, to non-uniformed policemen in a tradeoff at JRC Hotel, in Purok Sampaguita in Barangay San Pedro, Pagadian City.

Cops neutralize shabu dealer’s henchman

COTABATO CITY --- Policemen shot dead Sunday a trusted henchman of a large-scale narcotics dealer in a brief gunfight in Pikit town in Cotabato province. 

Combined personnel of the Pikit Municipal Police Station and members of units under the Army’s 602nd Brigade were to peacefully serve Satar Kabunto a warrant of arrest in his hideout in Barangay Gokotan, but the attempt turned haywire when he and his companions resisted, provoking a gunfight.

Rido’ led to deadly Lamitan City ambush

COTABATO CITY - Officials are scrambling to resolve a “rido” involving a barangay chairman who survived an ambush in Lamitan City, Basilan Monday that left his driver dead and hurt three others, among them an innocent public school teacher.

Rido is a generic term for clan war in most southern Mindanao dialects.

BARMM top cop accused of estafa to be detained at Camp Crame

MANILA – Former Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) police chief Brig. Gen. John Guyguyon will be detained at the Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters custodial unit after he was charged with two counts of syndicated estafa.

PNP chief Rodolfo Azurin Jr. said it is for security purposes as Guyguyon remains an active officer of the PNP, pending the outcome of the cases, but assured they will “communicate with the proper courts.”
