Another Army COVID-19 frontliner killed in Dawlah Islamiya attack

MAGUINDANAO --- Dawlah Islamiya bandits killed another Army anti-coronavirus frontliner in an attack in Radjah Buayan town late Tuesday.

The fatality, Pfc. Jerome Tahad of the Army’s 33rd Infantry Battalion, died on the spot from multiple bullet wounds.

He was returning to their command post in Barangay Zapakan in Rajah Buayan from a six-hour duty in a quarantine checkpoint nearby when Dawlah Islamiya gunmen shot him with assault rifles.

Tahad’s companions returned fire, forcing his killers to scamper away.


Dawlah gunmen harass soldiers in Datu Saudi, Maguindanao

COTABATO CITY --- Dawlah Islamiya bandits shot with assault rifles and anti-tank rockets two Army posts in Datu Saudi town in Maguindanao in separate attacks late Tuesday.

No one was reported hurt from among members of the Army’s 57th Infantry Battalion in the detachments in Barangays Elian and Salbo but the incidents triggered panic among villagers in farming enclaves nearby.

The Datu Saudi police and the Army’s 57th IB have confirmed that Dawlah Islamiya gunmen were responsible for the attacks.

Sa ulat ng Makilala PNP, nakilala ang nahuli na si Jhonny Encabo Dela Cerna, 26 years old, isang driver at nakatira sa nasabing lugar.

Nagwala umano ang suspek saka pinaputok ang kanyang caliber 45 pistol malapit sa kanilang tahanan dahilan para magpanic ang kanilang kapit-bahay.

Massive manhunt, reward set for "Maguindanao massacre" suspects

MANILA - Despite the Covid 19 threat, the Philippine National Police (PNP) has ordered an intensified manhunt for 76 Maguindanao massacre suspects who remain at large.

Acting on the directive of Chief PNP P/GEN ARCHIE FRANCISCO GAMBOA, the Directorate for Investigation and Detective Management (DIDM) of the PNP has issued a Memorandum dated March 13, 2020 to all units "on the Tracking and Accounting of Wanted Persons Involved in the Maguindanao Massacre." (Attached, together with 63 photos of the 76 accused still at-large).


Another "Maguindanao massacre" witness survives ambush

COTABATO CITY ---- Another state witness in the 2009 Maguindanao massacre survived an ambush in Shariff Aguak town in Maguindanao Tuesday.

The incident came just three months after the vice mayor of the same municipality was seriously wounded in a seemingly identical attack.

Muhammad Sangki and four companions were together in a van that gunmen shot with assault rifles while its driver was maneuvering through a stretch of a thoroughfare in Shariff Aguak.


Army now in control of upland Dawlah Islamiya enclaves

COTABATO CITY --- A dozen more improvised explosive devices and firearms were found by soldiers in hinterland enclaves of the Dawlah Islamiya that soldiers took over following three days of internecine clashes.

Two soldiers, Cpl. Albert Serquina and Sgt. Irvin Alberastine of the 40th and 57th Battalions, respectively, and four Dawlah Islamiya bandits, one of them a cleric, perished in the spate of clashes in Tuayan area at the border of Ampatuan and Datu Hoffer towns in Maguindanao.


North Cotabato 2020-2021 peace and order plan out 

COTABATO CITY --- North Cotabato province now has a peace and order and public safety plan for 2020 to 2021, a requisite for intelligence fund releases.

The POPSP 2020-2021 of the province is focused on multi-sector cooperation to sustain the security efforts of the police and military, according to North Cotabato Gov. Nancy Catamco.
