BARMM to invest much on improved education framework

COTABATO CITY--The Bangsamoro Government will invest much on developing human capital through basic, tertiary and technical education.

This year, the Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE) of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) has been allocated P 19 billion in administrative and operational budget and support funds, which constitutes the biggest pie in the region’s 2020 P 65-billion regional expenditure program (REP).

PH Navy won't sail yet to Basulta with LSIs

COTABATO CITY — Two Philippine Navy vessels may not sail off yet to Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi, as 79 of the locally stranded individuals (LSIs) the boats were supposed to ferry home, were found positive of CoVid19 in tests conducted at a Maguindanao isolation area, sources said.

MP Esmael assists returning students from Saudi Arabia

COTABATO CITY — Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) Member of Parliament (MP) Abduladzis M. Esmael assisted some fifteen (15) Filipino students from Imam Mohammed Ibn Saud Islamic University sent home as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia suspended classes of all schools amid Novel Coronavirus global pandemic crisis.

The returning students arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport last June 27, 2020 where they are currently under quarantine at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan in compliance with the national Covid Control Policies.

499 Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi residents from Manila now safe in Maguindanao

COTABATO CITY --- The 499 Bangsamoro residents stranded in Metro Manila possibly mistakenly ferried to Cagayan de Oro City are now in an isolation facility in Maguindanao province.

The locally-stranded individuals, or LSIs, returning to Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi arrived midnight Thursday at the compound of the Sanitarium Hospital in Sultan Kudarat town in Maguindanao where the newly-constructed COVID-19 hospital of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao is located.

Govt-chartered vessel drops Moro LSIs in CdO instead of Zambo

COTABATO CITY — Some 414 locally stranded individuals (LSI) from Metro Manila would have yet to spend more days in their journey back home, as the vessel chartered by the government to ferry them to Zamboanga City had instead dropped them off in Cagayan del Oro City Port on Tuesday.

BARMM gives P15M aid for Lanao del Sur biomolecular lab

COTABATO CITY — The Bangsamoro Government has turned over a sum of P15,039,688 cash assistance to Amai Pakpak Medical Center (APMC) in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur on Monday, July 6, in Cotabato City.
 
The Php15-million worth of cash assistance will be utilized for the establishment of biomolecular laboratory to be able to test for SARS-COV-2 that is compliant to Department of Health (DOH) standards.
 

Bangsamoro looking to have representation in the Anti-Terrorism Council

COTABATO CITY – In a statement released on July 4, Saturday, Bangsamoro Chief Minister Ahod “Al Haj Murad” Ebrahim said that the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) respects President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s decision to sign the Anti Terrorism Act of 2020.

Datu Blah Sinsuat LGU constructs COVID-19 treatment building

COTABATO CITY --- The local government unit of Datu Blah Sinsuat town is constructing a COVID-19 clinic as part of its campaign versus the dreaded disease, the LGU said in a statement Saturday.

Mayor Marshall Sinsuat said all 13 barangays of Datu Blah Sinsuat remained COVID-19 free, or has not had even a single case since February but their LGU is still not taking chances.

He said the COVID-19 facility they are setting up is located in Barangay Pura, near the municipal hall of Datu Blah Sinsuat, located in the west coast of Maguindanao province.

BARMM parliament appeals for President’s veto power over Anti-Terrorism Bill

COTABATO CITY — The Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) approved on Tuesday, July 02, a resolution appealing to President Rodrigo Duterte to veto the Anti-Terrorism Bill.

Resoluton No. 239 is entitled "Resolution respectfully appealing to his excellency President Rodrigo Roa Duterto to veto Senate Bill No. 1083 and House Bill No. 6875 or the Anti-Terrorism Act of 2020 to provide congress the opportunity to review and address the issue of vagueness, overbreadth, and other concerns."

COTABATO CITY — Amai Pakpak Medical Center’s (APMC) Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19) laboratory in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur received its License to Operate (LTO) from the Department of Health (DOH) on Monday, June 29, 2020.
