COTABATO CITY  – The Bangladesh envoy to the Philippines F.M. Borhan Uddin has vowed to strengthen partnership with the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) not only in education but also in governance and other sectors.

Ambassador Uddin made the assurance as he ended his 3-day visit Thursday in the autonomous region that was highlighted by a series of meetings and courtesies with BARMM Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim, Speaker of the Parliament and other regional officials.

COTABATO CITY - The Bangsamoro government on Tuesday assumed from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines the management of six airports in the autonomous region.

The six airports, --- in Datu Odin Sinsuat in Maguindanao del Norte, in Sanga-Sanga and Mapun, both in Tawi, in Jolo, Sulu, and old small landing sites each in Lanao del Sur’s Wao and Malabang towns -- are now under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

COTABATO CITY - Lamitan City received Friday, January 6, from the Bangsamoro government half of a P15 million allocation for a market building project in support of its local government unit’s socio-economic thrusts.

The checks amounting to P7.5 million were turned over by Bangsamoro Local Government Minister Naguib Sinarimbo to Lamitan City Mayor Roderick Furigay during a simple rite, witnessed by other regional officials.

COTABATO CITY --- The Bangsamoro labor ministry assisted 71 more people searching for jobs during a jobs fair in Upi town in Maguindanao del Norte last December 28.

The Ministry of Labor and Employment-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao facilitated early on, along with the local government unit of Cotabato City, a jobs fair in this city where organizers linked 111 jobseekers to potential employers --- private firms operating in BARMM.

COTABATO CITY — The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim (BARMM) Government ensured adequate services in 2022 by providing more public infrastructure projects, decent housing units, fostering employment and investment opportunities, advancing high-quality education programs, cultivating peace and security conditions, and improving resiliency and preparedness.

COTABATO CITY – The Bangsamoro Board of Investments (BBOI) generated a total of Php1.3-billion worth of investments or 64 percent of BARMM’s total investment target worth of Php2-Billion for the fiscal year of 2022.
 
Due to investments, the region has also generated a total of 1,052 employment during the year.
 

UPI, Maguindanao del Norte — Minister of the Interior and Local Government Atty Naguib G Sinarimbo, Mayor Ma Rona Cristina A Piang-Flores, and Vice Mayor Wilfred T Ibanez led the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a ₱25 Million public market in the Municipality of Upi Tuesday.

This infrastructure project is supported by the Ministry's Bangsamoro Local Economic Support Service (BLESS) Program, which aims to help local governments use their corporate power to increase and improve revenue generation.

COTABATO CITY - The Bangsamoro government on Tuesday, December 27, released 11 new patrol vehicles to different police units to boost law-enforcement efforts in the local communities.

Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, Senior Minister Abdulraof Macacua and Local Government Minister Naguib Sinarimbo together turned over the 11 Toyota Hilux pick-up trucks to the region’s police director, Brig. Gen. John Guyguyon, on Tuesday morning at the regional capitol here.

COTABATO CITY - Even on Christmas Day, supposedly a holiday, the Minister of the Interior and Local Government, Atty Naguib G Sinarimbo, has released today the 50 percent of the funding for the construction of a public market in Sitangkai, Tawi Tawi.

Sitangkai is one of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM's) most remote municipalities, with residents living on stilts near the Malaysian and Indonesian borders.

The public market's design will adapt to this environment, Sinarimbo said in a statement.
