Another village halls rise in BARMM’s SGA

COTABATO CITY — Local government services down to the barangay level in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Special Geographic Area (SGA) are expected to improve as it bring its services closer to the people.

Accoring to Atty. Naguib Sinarimbo of the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government (MILG), one of the the newly built barangay halls was in Barangay Patot, Pigcawawayan cluster of the SGA. 

On Eid’l Fitr, CM Ebrahim calls Bangsamoro to embrace moral governance

COTABATO CITY – The chief Minister of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) has called on every Bangsamoro to embrace moral governance in their everyday life as they celebrate Eid’l Fitr (end of Ramadhan).

Speaking during the congregational prayer in celebrating of Eid’l Fitr marking the end of fasting month of Ramadhan at the Bangsamoro Government Center here, BARMM Chief MiniSter Ahod “Kagi Murad” Ebrahim has called every Muslim in the region to support the government anchored on morality and spirituality in Islam.

Eid celebration in central Mindanao peaceful

COTABATO CITY --- The Eid’l Fit’r congregational outdoor prayer rites Monday in many areas in central Mindanao that thousands of Muslims attended were generally peaceful, the police and military said.

Major Gen. Juvymax Uy, commander of the Army’s 6th Infantry Division, said Monday all went well in areas where the Eid open-field prayers were held.

“There was good coordination between our units and the regional police offices in the Bangsamoro region and in Region 12 in providing security for the worshipers,” Uy said.

May 2 is Eid'l Fitr

IDINEKLARA NG Bangsamoro Darul Ifta ang May 2 bilang Eid’l Fitr o pagtatapos ng Ramadhan ngayong taon.

Ang deklarasyon ay ginawa ni Bangsamoro Grand Mufti Abuhuraira Udasan matapos na makita ang buwan o crescent moon.

 

Another Muslim cleric in BARMM murdered

COTABATO CITY - Another Islamic missionary in the Bangsamoro region was murdered, less than a week after one was killed with a rifle after leading a nighttime Ramadan prayer rite.

The cadaver of the missing Ustadz Emran Langco Macadato, a Maranao, who went missing early this week, was found Friday in a secluded area in Barangay Maul in Marantao, Lanao del Sur, which is far from his hometown, Butig, in the same province.  

He was stabbed repeatedly by his killer with a knife, according to investigators from the Marantao Municipal Police Station.

MILG-BARMM completes 2 village halls in NoCot

COTABATO CITY – The Ministry of the Interior and Local Government (MILG) has announced the completion of two barangay halls in the Special Geographic Area of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

Interior and Local Government Minister Naguib G. Sinarimbo said the modern building with Islamic fetures are part of the physical “dividends of peace” brought about the 2014 Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro (CAB).

Flood victims in Salibo town gets relief support

COTABATO CITY --- Flood-stricken families in 17 barangays in Datu Salibo, Maguindanao received Tuesday relief supplies from the Philippine National Red Cross and Bangsamoro government.

A total of 2,600 families from 17 barangays in Datu Salibo ---Pagatin, Sambulawan, Butilen, Buayan, Tee, Andavit, Pandi, Penditen, Liong, Dado, Alonganen, Kalipapa, Duaminanga, Masigay, Magaslong, Balanaken and Damabalas --- benefited from the joint mission of the PNRC and the Bangsamoro Rapid Emergency Action on Disaster Incidence (READi).

OCM’s Biggest Loser Program participants undergo nutrition counselling

COTABATO CITY— Participants of the Office of the Chief Minister’s (OCM) ‘Biggest Loser Program’ underwent nutrition counselling  here on Monday, April 19, to help them develop a healthy lifestyle.
 
Biggest Loser Program is a weight loss competition among employees of the OCM, spearheaded by the Administrative Management Services’ Human Resources Management Division (AMS-HRMD). It runs from March 11 to June 10, 2022.
 
On her opening remarks, AMS Director Narcisa Macog reminded everyone that "losing weight is more than just reducing your weight."
 

Sec. Galvez meets CM Ebrahim to discuss further collaboration

COTABATO CITY— Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity (OPAPRU) Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. met with Bangsamoro Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim Tuesday, April 12, at the Bangsamoro Government Center here.
 
Joining them were OPAPRU’s Assistant Secretary Atty. Wilben Mayor and Undersecretary David Diciano,  BARMM Police Director Brig. Gen. Arthur Cabalona, and the different ministers of the Bangsamoro Government.
