BARMM to construct 5 barangay halls in coastal town 

COTABATO CITY - The Bangsamoro government and the mayor’s office in Datu Blah Sinsuat are to jointly construct five barangay halls in the municipality to boost local governance.

Mayor Marshall Sinsuat of the seaside Datu Blah Sinsuat in Maguindanao del Norte said Monday he is grateful to the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao for embarking on the project.

Three bills seek to reorganize BARMM ministries

COTABATO CITY — Another three proposed measures aimed at reorganizing ministries in the region entered on first reading this afternoon, September 29.

Parliament Bill Nos. 47, 48, and 49, entitled Bangsamoro Education Reorganization Act of 2022, Bangsamoro Environment and Energy Act of 2022, and the Bangsamoro Commissions Merging Act of 2022, are among the proposed measures.

Hermoso steps down as MOTC head with feats

COTABATO CITY - The retired Army officer who served for three years as Bansgamoro transportation and communication minister relinquished his post Monday, September 29, to a successor.

The outgoing Dickson Hermoso, who was at the helm of the Ministry of Transportation and Communication, was replaced by a new appointee, the accountant-lawyer Paisalin Tago, who is also a member of the 80-seat 2022-2025 regional parliament.

FY 2023 regional budget: education, health, and social services outlined for funding boost

COTABATO CITY – In the proposed budget of the Bangsamoro for fiscal year 2023, highest budgetary priority is allotted to education, health, and social services.
 
“The Bangsamoro youth remains to be the hope of our region. What the youth will be, is the future of the Bangsamoro. As such we highly invest for the education of the youth,” said Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim.
 
The chief minister said they aim to achieve ‘ABE For All’ or the ‘Altruistic and Balanced Education for All‘.
 

MILG minister Sinarimbo, 20 others retain posts in BARMM cabinet

COTABATO CITY – Minister Naguib Sinarimbo of the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao has welcomed his re-appointment by BARMM Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim.

Chief Minister Ebrahim swore-in his 21 Cabinet officials on Friday last week.

Sources from the office of Chief Minister Ebrahim said the re-appointment of many cabinet officials came as unannounced and surprising even to the appointees themselves.

CM Ebrahim vows all out support for decommissioning process

SIMUAY, Maguindanao — The Bangsamoro Government, through the leadership of Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim, once again affirmed its full support to the decommissioning of former combatants of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).

During the public launch of the Resumption of Phase 3 MILF Decommissioning held today, Sept. 27, at the Old Maguindanao Provincial Capitol in Sultan Kudarat, Ebrahim described the event as "a testament to the mutual confidence, trust, and commitment of the Government of the Philippines and Moro Islamic Liberation Front to the Bangsamoro Peace Process".

COTABATO CITY - CHIEF Minister Ahod Balawag Ebrahim swore-in 21 Cabinet officials of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao in extended office hours on Friday.

The release of the Cabinet appointments by the Office of the BARMM Chief Minister (OBCM) came unannounced, surprising even the appointees themselves, according to insiders privy to the “simple but solemn ceremonies of the oath-taking.”  

In all, Ebrahim has appointed 20 Moro appointees and a Christian, the lone representative of the indigenous people’s communities in BARMM.
