P6.8-M worth shabu seized from peddlers in Sulu

COTABATO CITY --- State agents confiscated P6.8 million worth of shabu from two drug dealers who fell in a sting in Parang town in Sulu over the weekend.

In a statement Monday, the regional office here of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao said suspects Haizar Yusop and Jimmy Madjiul are now detained, awaiting prosecution.

P400M Marawi City water supply project launched

MARAWI CITY --- Officials launched this week the P400 million worth water supply project in Marawi City, something so needed by its conflict-stricken communities.

Marawi City, capital of Lanao del Sur, has more than 90 barangays.

Lanao del Sur Gov. Mamintal Adiong, Jr. said his administration is thankful to the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao for embarking on the P400 million worth water system project in Marawi City.

BARMM kicks off 2021 National Nutrition Month celebration

COTABATO CITY — Officials of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) led the kick off program for the regional celebration of the 47th National Nutrition Month through a motorcade and online launch on Monday, July 5.

Dr. Kadil Sinolinding, Bangsamoro Government’s program coordinator for National Nutrition Council, said Nutrition Month is an annual campaign held every July to create greater awareness among Filipinos on the importance of nutrition as provided under Presidential Decree 491, or the Nutrition Act of the Philippines.

Fate of 3 ill-fated C-130 pilots still unknown

COTABATO CITY --- The fate of the three pilots of the C-130 plane that crashed near the airport in Jolo town in Sulu is still unknown as of presstime.

Seventeen passengers were killed while 42 others were badly hurt when an Air Force C-130 plane crashed near the Jolo airport in Sulu province Sunday, reports reaching the Bangsamoro capitol here said.

Sulu is a component-province of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

BARMM education minister lauds students’ perseverance amid pandemic

MSSD releases P37-M worth of medical aid for indigent patients across BARMM

COTABATO CITY — Bangsamoro Government’s Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) has already released some Php37,000,000.00 worth of medical fund intended to support destitute patients across the Bangsamoro region.
 
Since last year, ten (10) hospitals in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) have entered into agreements with the ministry under the Bangsamoro Critical Assistance in Response to Emergency Situation (B-CARES) Program.

In a pre-SONA activity on Tuesday, June 29, Lorenzana reiterated that the extension would provide the Bangsamoro region enough time to make a genuine and successful transition.
