BTA consults more sectors on proposed Admin Code

COTABATO CITY — The Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) continues to gather the concerns and suggestions from various sectors to further polish the proposed Bangsamoro Administrative Code, through a series of public consultations held last week.

Lanao Sur prov'l gov't elated with arrest of local drug dealers

COTABATO CITY --- The provincial government of Lanao del Sur lauded Friday the law enforcement units involved in the seizure of P14 million worth of shabu in two operations in the province this week.

Lanao del Sur Gov. Mamintal Adiong, Jr. said Friday he is also thankful to vigilant constituents who helped carry out the two entrapment operations that resulted in the arrest of seven large scale drug traffickers distributing shabu in the second district of the province.

BARMM’s proposed administrative code demonstrates potential, experts say

COTABATO CITY  – According to experts, the Bangsamoro Administrative Code shows potential as it clarified the relationship of different entities in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) following the parliamentary structure of government.

During a series of consultations conducted by a panel, constituted by the Bangsamoro Transition Authority’s Committee on Rules, selected law and governance experts were invited this Monday, August 17, to discuss their opinions and positions regarding the Cabinet Bill No. 60, filed in the plenary late July.

Military, BARMM fuse ranks versus disasters, calamities

COTABATO CITY --- More than 50 military officers and field leaders of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front completed Sunday a joint exercise on coordinated response to disasters and calamities.

The two-day joint simulation exercise was held at Camp Siongco in Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao where the headquarters of the Army’s 6th Infantry Division is located. 

Army, former Moro rebels join hands to fight common enemies

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao  – They used to be enemies, real enemies, because they fire at each other every time they chance upon in the battle field.

Now, government forces and Moro rebels are now one in doing things that will benefit themselves and the people they promised to serve and fight a common enemy or enemies.

Elements of the Army’s 6th Infantry Division and Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) field commanders in the Bangsamoro Region in Muslim Mindanao have undergone training on disaster response, including savings lives.

Bangsamoro adopts Youth Priority Agenda

COTABATO CITY – The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) has adopted a priority agenda for 2020-2022 that would guide the regional government in “developing the youth in the region.”

The Bangsamoro Youth Transition Priority Agenda (BYTPA) 2020-2022 is the Bangsamoro Government’s youth development agenda “that addresses the peculiar social context, considerations and conditions as well as the pertinent needs and challenges confronting the Bangsamoro Youth.”

Bangsamoro Youth Commission to commemorate International Youth Day

COTABATO CITY – The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao’s Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC-BARMM) will lead this year’s regional commemoration of the International Youth Day (IYD) on Wednesday, August 12.

The regional celebration will be marked with different activities that include the launching of the creation of BYC and the Bangsamoro Youth Transition Priority Agenda (BYTPA) 2020-2022, State of the Bangsamoro Youth Address, and awarding of short film fest and photography contest winners.

Lanao Sur Gov. Adiong orders review of P63-M towns infra projects

LANAO DEL SUR  — Lanao del Sur Governor Mamintal Bombit Alonto Adiong has directed the Provincial Engineering Office (PEO) to evaluate and submit reports on the status of P63 million municipal infrastructure projects, based on ocular inspection and actual physical inventory.

COVID WATCH: BARMM has 10 new cases

COTABATO CITY - Ten new cases of Covid-19 have been listed by the Ministry of Health in the Bangsamoro Region in Muslim Mindanao (MOH-BARMM) as of Friday night.

 

5 LGU execs receive 2.3-million performance challenge fund

COTABATO CITY  – ₱2.3 million incentive was awarded to each of the municipalities of South Upi, Guindulungan, Datu Piang, Shariff Aguak, and Datu Abdullah Sangki in Maguindanao province.

This was after said Local Government Units (LGUs) successfully passed the eligibility criteria of the Department of Interior and Local Government’s (DILG) Performance Challenge Fund (PCF) 2019.

Atty. Naguib Sinraimbo, BARMM’s Interior and Local Government Minister, led the awarding ceremony on Thursday, August 6, at the Bangsamoro Government Center in the city.
