CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao – One of the gunmen involved in the killing of 44 police officers in Mamasapano, Maguindanao in 2015 was killed during law enforcement operations in Datu Saudi Ampatuan municipality, the Army said Sunday.

Lt. Colonel Michael Glenn Manansala, 6th Infantry Battalion commander, said joint police and Army operatives were to serve a warrant of arrest against Bansir Samaon when resisted and, using his caliber .45 pistol, opened fire on state forces at about noon Friday.

COTABATO CITY - Four more members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters trained in fabrication of improvised explosive devices surrendered to the Army Friday. 

They first turned in two .30 caliber Garand rifles, an M14 rifle, a bolt-action sniper rifle and explosives before they renounced their membership with the BIFF during a simple surrender rite at Camp Leono in Barangay Kalandagan in Tacurong City.

COTABATO CITY -- Soldiers and policemen shot dead a courier of explosives they were to arrest in an anti-terror operation in Maguindanao del Sur Thursday that turned haywire when he resisted, provoking a clash. 

The slain Bansir Samaon, a member of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters and known by aliases Bungo and Malang, died on the spot from multiple bullet wounds.

COTABATO CITY --- A gunman shot dead Thursday night in General Santos City a police intelligence agent involved in anti-terror surveillance missions. 

Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg, director of the Police Regional Office-12, on Friday identified the slain policeman as Corporal Razul Alongan of the Tambler Police Precinct in General Santos City.

Alongan was inside an eatery in Barangay Fatima in General Santos City when a man approached from behind, pulled out a .45 caliber pistol from a sling back and shot him in the head, killing him on the spot.

KORONADAL CITY - Authorities are certain the Dawlah Islamiya and the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters together perpetrated the bombing at noontime Monday of a bus in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat that hurt seven passengers.

Reports have been circulating in central Mindanao since Monday night purporting that the bombing was to avenge the deaths of 17 leaders of both groups in clashes with pursuing soldiers and policemen in central Mindanao in the past 16 months.

GEN.SANTOS CITY – Seven individuals incurred minor injuries in an explosion inside a passenger bus at Isulan Public Terminal, Brgy. Kalawag 2, Isulan, Sultan Kudarat at around 12:20 PM this day.

NASA APAT hanggang anim na mga pasahero sakay ng Husky bus ang nagtamo ng minor injury kasunod ng pagpapasabog ng bomba sa Integrated Public Terminal ng Isulan, Sultan Kudarat tanghali kanina.

Ang double decker checker bus ng Husky company ay galing ng Cotabato City patungo sanang General Santos City.
