Residents worried over burial of COVID-19 fatality in Matalam

NORTH COTABATO --- Residents of Matalam town are restive for days now, agitated by the clandestine burial in the area of a COVID-19 fatality that their local government unit did not even know.

It was only last Monday that Local officials learned of the improper burial on July 14 in Taculen area in Matalam, North Cotabato of a 45-year-old male, who reportedly died in a hospital in Davao City two days before due to coronavirus infection.

3 new COVID-19 cases in Region 12; 3 new recoveries too

COTAABTO CITY - Tatlo katao ang nadagdag sa bilang ng mga COVID-19 patients sa Soccsksargen region ngayong araw batay sa situation report ng DOH-12.

Sa tatlong bagong kaso, dalawa mula North Cotabato at isa mula Sultan Kudarat, lahat mga Locally Stranded Individual na may travel history sa Maynila.

Dahil dito, abot na sa 125 ang kabu-uang bilang ng mga taong merong coronavirus sa rehiyon. Sa bilang na ito, 59 na ang naka-recover, kabilang ang tatlo na taga Sultan Kudarat.

DOH-12: Dozen patients spike COVID-19 positive list in Soccsksargen

COTABATO CITY - Twelve new novel coronavirus patients have been recorded by the Department of Health in the Soccsksargen region as of Wednesday night.

In a situation report, it said one of the new patients is from Cotabato City, another in Sultan Kudarat and the rest from Sarangani province.

All are Locally Stranded Individual who have travel history to Metro Manila.

Region 12 has 8 new COVID-19 cases

KORONADAL CITY - Eight new cases of novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were recorded today by the Department of Health in the Soccsksargen region, bringing the total confirmed cases to 110.

Of the eight new cases, six were from Sarangani, one from South Cotabato and one from North Cotabato. 

All the new patients have travel history to Manila where high cases of COVID-19 was noted.

One patient, a 29-year-old from Sultan Kudarat, has recovered today, the DOH said.

COVID-19 positive LSIs to remain in BARMM isolation facility

COTABATO CITY --- All 79 from among a group of 406 Bangsamoro residents returning to their island provinces positive to COVID-19 shall remain in an isolation facility in Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao.

The 406 locally stranded individuals who arrived in Mindanao from Metro Manila via Cagayan de Oro City are confined since last week at the Bangsamoro government’s COVID-19 hospital in Sultan Kudarat, about eight kilometers north of Cotabato City.

8 new coronavirus positive reported in BARMM

COTABATO CITY (July 12) -- Eight new coronavirus disease COVID-19 cases were recorded in the Bangsamoro Region.

Of the eight cases, seven were locally stranded persons who returned to Lanao del Sur and Marawi while one went home to Basilan province.

DOH-12: Cotabato City has 4 new COVID-19 positive, SoCot has 7 new patients

COTABATO CITY - Eleven new Covid-19 patients have been listed, as of today, by the Department of Health in the Soccsksargen region and four of them were from this city while seven in South Cotabato, raising the total confirmed cases in the region to 102.

City Mayor Cynthia Guiani-Sayadi said the four were part of the 17 Locally Stranded Individuals (LSIs) who returned to Cotabato City on July 9.

Lanao Sur constructing additional holding shelters for LSIs 

COTABATO CITY --- Engineers are setting up additional temporary shelters in Lanao del Sur province for returning Maranaws stranded in regions outside by the coronavirus quarantine.

Personnel of Lanao del Sur provincial engineer’s office are constructing the contiguous shelters in Barangay Sagonsongan in Marawi City, each designed to accommodate 150 to 200 people.

Marawi City is the provincial capital of Lanao del Sur.

BARMM records 21 new COVID-19 cases

COTABATO CITY - The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) health ministry has recorded 21 new cases of COVID-19 in the regio as of Friday, July 10.

COTABATO CITY - Five more residents of the Soccsksargen region have been tested positive to coronavirus disease, raising the total number of COVID-19 patients to 91.

Of the five new patients, two were from Sultan Kudarat, two in Sarangani and one in Gen. Santos City.
