COVID WATCH: 5 new cases, 2 recoveries in Region 12

COTABATO CITY - Five new cases of novel coronavirus disease (COVID-1) were added to the growing list of infected persons in the Soccsksargen region, now at 328 with 121 active cases.

In its bulletin issued Tuesday night, the Dept of Health said four of the new cases were from Gen. Santos City and one from South Cotabato, all have travel history to Manila and Cebu.

The two patients who have recovered are all from North Cotabato, raising the total number of recoveries to 203.

25 Midsayap residents hospitalized for amoebiasis

NORTH COTABATO --- Dysentery downed 25 villagers in a flood-stricken agricultural area in Barangay Nalin 2 in Midsayap town, now in hospitals being rehydrated and treated for intestinal bacterial infection.

Barangay Nalin 2 officials told reporters Tuesday the patients first had painful, recurring abdominal spasms and, subsequently, loose bowel movement while writhing in headache and body malaise.

COVID WATCH: 10 COVID patients recover in Region 12

COTABATO CITY - Ten more COVID-19 patients sa Region 12 ang gumaling sa sakit.

Batay ito sa ulat ng Dept of Health ngayng gabi.

Of the 10 positive patients who have recovered, pito mula Sarangani province,  dalawa taga North Cotabato at isa mula South Cotabato.

Dahil dito, abot na sa 201 ang total number of patients na naka-recover.

Habang ang total number of confirmed cases ay 323.

Lanao Sur, Marawi City confirm local transmission of COVID-19

COTABATO CITY – After confirming that 21 persons infected with coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) have no known exposure or travel history, the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) in Lanao del Sur and Marawi City declared on Sunday the local transmission of the disease in the province.

WALANG NAITALANG BAGONG KASO NG COVID-19 sa buong Soccsksargen region hanggang kagabi.

Ayon sa Dept of Health Soccsksargen region, meron namang tatlong mga pasyente ang naka-recover mula sa sakit.

Isa sa mga naka-recover ay babaeng taga South Cotabato na 43 years old, isang 23 years old na babae na taga Cotabato City at ang pangatlo ay mula Gen. Santos City na isang 30 taong gulang na babae.

COVID WATCH: Wow! 34 Covid patients recover in Region 12 today

COTABATO CITY - The Department of Health in the Soccsksargen region today reported a 34 cases of recoveries from coronavirus disease in the region, a single-day highest recovery records since March.

With this high number of recoveries, the region now has a total of 184 recovered patients, including a 4-month old baby in Cotabato City.

In its Aug. 7 situation report, DOH-12 said two of those who recovered were from Cotabato City, 23 from Sarangani, one in South Cotabato and eight in Sultan Kudarat.

COVID WATCH: 2 new cases in Soccsksargen region; zero recovery

KORONADAL CITY - Two new cases of novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) have been recorded in the region as of today, the Dept of Health said.

This is one of the days since March that the region has had the lowest cases of confirmed COVID patients.

DOH-12 also reported that no patients have recovered so far Thursday, Aug. 6.

On July 27, 2014, the Philippine population reached its 100 million mark in population. 100 babies born past midnight that day in state hospitals across 19 cities and 81 provinces were singled out as the symbolic “100 millionth baby.”

Marking the sixth birthday of that cohort of the now-young children, the Commission on Population and Development (POPCOM) commemorated the said event on Monday, July 27, with population and health offices in various local government units.

COVID WATCH: 7 new cases, 4 recoveries in Region 12

KORONADAL CITY -  The Department of Health-Center for Health Development (DOH-CHD) in the Soccsksargen region today reported seven new cases of COVID-19, raising the total confirmed cases to 310.

Four more confirmed cases have survived the disease and recovered.

Five of the cases were patients from Gen. Santos City and two from South Cotabato, all have travel history to Manila.

The total number of recoveries rose to 150.

IPHO Maguindanao registers 101% completion in anti-polio drive

COTABATO CITY – The Integrated Provincial Health Office in Maguindanao has reported a 101-percent completion of its “Sabayang Patak Kontra Polio” campaign in the province.

This came after provincial health workers managed to administer anti-polio vaccination to 197,688 children, exceeding their target of 195,068 children.

“Our accomplishment for the final round of the ‘Patak’ campaign has an equivalent of 101 percent,” Dr. Elizabeth Samama, chief of the IPHO-Maguindanao, told reporters here in an interview Tuesday.
