So. Cotabato motorist dies in hi-way mishap grandpa drowns in T'boli

KORONADAL CITY - A highway in Banga, South Cotabato known as accident prone has claimed another life after two motorcycles collided head on Friday night, authorities said. Killed due to head and body injuries was Julius Aspa, 43, resident of Banga while his back rider, Christopher Asong, 27 was seriously wounded. Aspa was driving his Honda RS 125 motorbike along the highway in Barangay Liwanay when his bike collided head on with another motorbike driven by Joey de Guira, 25 of Barangay Kusan, also in Banga.

Cotabato City suspends elem, high school classes

COTABATO CITY - The Cotabato City governmentsuspended classes Wednesday in elementary and secondary schools, both in public and private due to inclement weather.Lawyer Cynthia Guiani Sayadi, Cotabato City administrator, in a text message to DXMS Radyo Bida,announced the suspension of classes as early as 5 a.m.The city government also suspended classes Tuesday afternoon for elementary and high school due to day-long rain over the city and its environs.


Ferrer hopeful BBL passage meets ‘deadline’

6th ID hosts PMA entrance exam for 517 aspirants

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao -- More than 500 aspirants took the Philippine Military Academy Entrance Examination (PMAEE) on Sunday at the 6th Infantry Dviision, the biggest number of examinees who took the test at the 6th Infantry Division.About 517 examines arrived to try their luck at joining the country’s premier military school. Out of 517 applicants, 378 were males and 139 were females. The number of examinees this year is greater than last years 400for Central Mindanao, Capt. Joan Petinglay, 6th ID spokesperson said.

what officials believed was another case of food poisoning in a mountain town
in South Cotabato, officials said Sunday.

The victims are
now confined in a private hospital in Barangay Edwards, T’boli town in South
