government to put up stalls for them in an area where they can sell their wares
after they were driven out of the city sidewalks.

Requesting they
remained unidentified, the vendors, among those who were forcibly removed
from sidewalks along Sinsuat Avenue and other streets, have urged the city
government to provide them stalls so they can legitimately operate as vendors.

Gunmen kill soldier
in North Cotabato

PIKIT, North
Cotabato -- Motorcycle-riding gunmen on Saturday shot dead an Army sergeant while
he was driving his motorbike in Barangay Manaulanan, police said.

Manhunt has
been launched against the two suspects who shot in broad daylight Army Sgt. Salilin
Guiapal, a member of the Army’s 7th Infantry Battalion based here. We are
