KIDAPAWAN CITY – Another cargo truck was set ablaze by suspected New Peoples Army
in a remote village in North Cotabato Tuesday, police said today.

A cargo truck
owned by a banana businessman from Magsaysay, Davao del Sur was to fetch
agricultural products in Tulunan town when about 10 gunmen, who introduced
themselves as communist rebels, flagged down the vehicle at 10 a.m in Barangay
Macmod.

Senior Supt.
Emmanuel Peralta, North Cotabato police director, told reporters the driver
told investigators that he was directed to alight.

TACURONG CITY – Manhunt has been launched
by police and military authorities here against two men suspected to be on
bombing test mission after one of them tossed an improvised bomb near a
hospital and electric cooperative building and hurt eight persons.

DATU ANGGAL, Maguindanao – Joint anti-narcotics agents, police and military forces arrested Friday afternoon a town councilor in Maguindanao during an anti-drug operation here. North Cotabato – A 16-year-old pedicab driver was injured when an
improvised explosive device went off at a roadside here before dawn Saturday.

Supt. Bernard
Tayong, Midsayap town police chief, said the explosion occurred at 4:30 a.m.
while the victim, a resident of Barangay Pagangan, Aleosan, North Cotabato, was
sitting on his pedicab looking for passengers along Quezon Avenue.

No one has
claimed responsibility for the bomb attack. The victim was rushed to the
hospital by responding cops.
