KIDAPAWAN CITY - Public officials and peace advocacy blocs in the Bangsamoro region were elated with the reassurance by President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. of forging ahead with the southern peace process, aiming to put a diplomatic closure to decades of secessionist strife in the region.

DAVAO CITY - President Ferdinand Marcos Jr attended the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao's (BARMM) First Local Legislative General Assembly today, 14 November 2023, at the Acacia Hotel in Davao City, which he described as historic and critical to achieving our goal of achieving peace and progress in the region.

He emphasized that the administration will continue to support the BARMM's growth plan in order to achieve long-term and peaceful self-governance.

COTABATO CITY --- Business blocs struggling to make Maguindanao del Norte attractive to foreign investors were elated with the tour of a Columbian envoy to the former main bastion in the province of an erstwhile Moro rebel group now involved in governance and politics.

The MILG Regional Office handed over five passenger vans and two 4X4 pick-up trucks to the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government provincial field offices and the National Police Commission - Bangsamoro (NAPOLCOM) on November 10, 2023.

Sheikh Makhdum was an Arab trader and missionary who built the first-ever mosque in the Philippines, particularly in Simunul town of Tawi-Tawi, to propagate the Islamic faith in the country.
 

COTABATO CITY — The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) has pledged to enhance and lay the groundwork for unlocking the full potential of persons with disabilities (PWDs) in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

This commitment was highlighted during the turnover ceremony of the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD-XII) Center for the Handicapped to MSSD, alongside the ceremonial signing of their Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) held on Nov. 3 in this city.

COTABATO CITY - There is a fledgling seaside town now known throughout the Bangsamoro region for having territorial seas absolutely “off limits” to fishermen using dynamites, cyanide and banned types of nets for fishing.

Muslim, Christian and ethnic Teduray residents of Datu Blah Sinsuat town in Maguindanao del Norte, also known by the acronym DBS and established only in 2009, are supporting the anti-illegal fishing campaign of their local government unit via their volunteer beachfront ranger protection teams.

COTABATO CITY - The newly-elected Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan officials in Cotabato City took the "Oath of Moral Governance" and "Oath of Office" at the Shariff Kabunsuan Cultural Complex, Bangsamoro Government Center Monday, November 6, 2023.

The oath was administered by Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Chief Minister Ahod B. Ebrahim; it is worth noting that this was the first Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Election (BSKE) held under the new Bangsamoro Regional Government.
