BASILAN - The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) conducted the payout of the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) for the 580 indigent beneficiaries in the province of Basilan from October 17-19, 2023.

Each beneficiary received P15,000 worth of livelihood assistance. The said recipients include farmers, fisherfolks, and solo-parents.

Among the recipients, 124 were from Lamitan City, 68 from Tipo-Tipo, 74 from Mohammad Ajul, 87 from Maluso, 141 from Sumisip, and 86 from Tabuan lasa.

COTABATO CITY - A total of 691 small-scale business owners individually received PhP 15,000 worth of livelihood assistance from the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) through the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) during a series of payouts in the provinces of Maguindanao del Norte, Maguindanao del Sur, and Cotabato City from October 16 to 19, 2023.

Among the recipients, 193 were from North Upi, 118 from South Upi, 118 from Sultan Kudarat, 100 from Datu Saudi Ampatuan, 100 from Pagalungan, and 62 from Cotabato City.

Aniya isinusulong ng MILF ang naturang mga panukala ng walang halong political interest kundi upang mabigyan ng maayos at patas na oportunidad ang lahat.

DAVAO CITY — The May 2025 regional election marks the first time the 80 Members of Parliament (MPs) of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) go through a gauntlet of votes as the pioneer elective officials of the region.

From the establishment of the Bangsamoro region in early 2019 the regional government is being governed by the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) chaired by Ahod Balawag “Al-Hajj Murad” Ebrahim through the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA).

COTABATO CITY - In a bid to foster a more inclusive and gender-responsive offices, the Ministry of Human Settlements and Development (MHSD), the Housing Arm of the BARMM conducted the Training-Workshop on Gender-Responsive Service Delivery for its employees in the Provincial Offices of Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi, held at the Marcian Garden Hotel, Zamboanga City on October 10-11, 2023.

COTABATO CITY - The enhanced version of BARMM CP-GBV Referral Pathway is officially out after members of the Working Group convened on 18 October 2023 in Bangsamoro Government Center, Cotabato City, and endorsed the pathway.

This improved mechanism employs a more efficient and survivor-centered approach in responding to all forms of gender-based violence and will expedite the reporting of CP-GBV cases to key service providers that ensure that the survivors will receive timely and non-discriminatory access to social and medical services, safety, and security, and legal support.

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao del Norte  – Additional military forces have arrived here today to reinforce military security measures for the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

The deployment of augmentation forces forms part of the desire of Philippine Army chief Lt. Gen. Roy Galido who told military officials in the region and officials from the Commission on Elections that “there will be no room for the failure of elections as the local barangay polls will proceed as scheduled.”

COTABATO CITY – Nearly a year ago the devastating Tropical Storm Paeng struck Barangay Kusiong in Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte.
 
The disaster proved to be a nightmare for the residents, among them were Juanita Mariano and her family, who were soundly asleep on that fateful night October 27, 2022.
 
In her recount of the tragedy, Mariano said the first sign of the storm was when floodwaters began seeping into their homes while her children slept peacefully.
 

DAVAO CITY — The Bangsamoro Information Office (BIO) officially kicked off its three-day Information and Media Summit on Oct. 18, with the goal of strengthening partnerships with media stakeholders throughout the Bangsamoro region.
 
Centered on promoting accountable journalism, this summit, set to conclude on Friday, reflects the collaborative efforts between the Bangsamoro Government and key players in the information and media sector.
 

COTABATO CITY - The Ministry of the Interior and Local Government in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MILG-BARMM) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement with nine local government units as part of the digitalization in BARMM.

The Localizing e-Governance for Accelerated Provision of Services (LeAPS) program facilitated the signing activity.
