Kidapawan City all set for Timpupo and Fruit Festival

KIDAPAWAN CITY - Organizers of this year's fruit parade and Kasadya saTimpupo (Fruit Harvest)Festival announced today the first ever Search for Binibining Kalikasan 2015 and other activities. True to the search, the candidates will be using recyclable materials in their respetive pageant attires. Other highlights of the activity is the fruit parade where various fruits, including exotic fruits grown only in Kidapawan City.


DOT-12 trains guide for Ninoy Aquino caves

COTABATO CITY - The Department of Tourism 12 and the
Ninoy Aquino local government unit in Sultan Kudarat province have started
laying the ground for the expected influx of local and foreign tourists to its

office is now facilitating the accreditation of cave guides and providing Cave
Guidng Training Workshop.

Ninoy Aquino town has about 100 caves scattered in
various villages and sub-villages, including the world famous Lagbasan cave.


ARMM cultural programs to continue even after Ramadan, Eid feast

COTABATO CITY - The country's El Gamma Penumbra all male shadow play group on Monday urged residents of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao to support the southern peace process.The group came over Monday for an Eid’l Fitr performance at the 32-hectare ARMM compound in Cotabato City in a bid to generate cross-section support to government environment protection thrusts and the Mindanao peace efforts.

El Gamma Penumbra to perform in ARMM

COTABATO CITY (PNA) -- Asia’s renowned El Gamma Penumbra, an all-male Filipino shadow play group, is set to display their exceptional skill before constituents of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) depicting relevant issues on peace and reforms.The 18-man group is set to perform on the evening of July 20 at Shariff Kabunsuan Complex, the provisional seat of the ARMM situated in this city.The group has not hired female members due to the extreme body movements and contact required for their routines.

COTABATO CITY – Every night is a happy and jolly night for most people visiting the
Ramadhan village” inside the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM)
compound here.

Every night
during the fasting month, which started June 16 and ends this Friday, food and
cultural presentation entertain visitors, mostly Muslims breaking the day-long
fast at past 6 p.m.

The Ramadhan
village, also known as Ramadhan Fair” can be likened to a Christmas village
during the yuletide season for Christians around the world.
