Environmentalists sign MOA to protect Mt. Apo

KIDAPAWAN CITY -International environmental advocates, tourism officials from South and Central Mindanao region, lumad leaders, and the local chief executive here signed on Wednesday a memorandum of agreement (MOA) to preserve, protect, and develop carefully the environment’s resources, especially in Mount Apo.

Security officials, local execs bike through Maguindanao Massacre site

Koronadal falls gaining popularity as tourist spot

KORONADAL CITY
– A locally-developed tourist spot here is gaining attractions as more and more
people are showing interest to it, the local government said.

Mayor Fernando
Miguel said local residents around Siok falls in Barangay Mabini have organized
themselves and formed Siok El Amte-o falls and park association.

They called
the area as Siok-Eco Adventure and Park sa Barangay Mabini.

Siok falls is
among the more than a dozen falls in the SOCCSKSARGEN promoted by Department of
Tourism 12.

agreement was inked between the cities of Iloilo and Koronadal.

The
