Also involved as intercessors were the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) in the area, municipal councilors and barangay local government units.

KORONADAL CITY --- Police operatives arrested an alleged child molester and three rape suspects in separate operations in South Cotabato province Thursday.

Police Col. Jemuel Siason, director of the South Cotabato provincial police, said Friday personnel of the Tboli municipal police first arrested Jick-Jick Liwa Malones, 21, who is wanted for violation of Republic Act 7610, or the Anti-Child Abuse Law.

The Regional Trial Court Branch 26 in Surallah, South Cotabato, which issued the warrant for his arrest, recommended an P80,000 bail for his temporary liberty.

KORONADAL CITY --- The police has clamped a down rape suspect arrested Saturday, the sixth from among top ten most wanted persons here.

The 34-year-old Mark Anthony Bodigas Parreño voluntarily yielded when personnel of the Koronadal City police cornered him at Purok Malipayon in Barangay San Isidro here and showed him a warrant for his arrest.

KORONADAL CITY --- Gunmen on a motorcycle shot dead a farmer and wounded two others in an ambush in Tantangan, South Cotabato past 3:00 p.m. Friday.

In a September 4 advisory, the South Cotabato provincial police office here identified the fatality as Datu Ain Alamada, who died on the spot from multiple gunshot wounds.

Alamada and his two companions, Baila Mangabpil and Binabai Akil Saladang, were together on a tricycle when they were attacked while motoring through a stretch of the highway in Barangay Cuyapo in Tantangan, en route to Tacurong City.

COTABATO CITY - Probers are still trying to solve the fatal ambush Wednesday in Radja Buayan, Maguidnanao of a father and his five-year-old son by gunmen on motorcycles, a regional police official said Friday.

Brig. Gen. Eden Ugale, director of the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, said he has directed the Maguindanao provincial police to tap the support of members of the Radjah Buayan municipal peace and order council in trying to identify the culprits for prosecution.

KORONADAL CITY --- Two arson suspects yielded to the police in Tupi, South Cotabato Wednesday after learning that a court has ordered their arrest, setting P120,000 worth for each.

Analyn Rafael Canahap, 41, and her alleged accomplice, the 47-year-old Aladino Hong Canahap, are now both clamped down in the detention facility of the Tupi municipal police.

COTABATO CITY --- State Agents seized P1.7 million worth of shabu from a trafficker entrapped in Talayan town in Maguindanao at about noontime Wednesday.

In a statement, the regional office of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao said suspect Jimar Vidad Miral, is now clamped down in its detention facility here.

Miral was immediately frisked and cuffed after selling one-fourth kilo of shabu, worth P1.7 million, to non-uniformed PDEA-BARMM agents during a sting along a highway in the town proper of Talayan.

COTABATO CITY ---  Police agents shot dead an uncooperative murder suspect whose house they were to inspect for firearms and shabu in Matanog, Maguindanao before dawn Wednesday.

The fatality, Oting Sawal, died on the spot from multiple gunshot wounds.

Personnel of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region were to search for firearms and drugs in the house of Sawal in Barangay Kidama, Matanog but neutralized him instead when he pulled out a .30 caliber Carbine and opened fire.

KORONADAL CITY --- Authorities are bracing up for retaliation by the New People’s Army for the death of a senior rebel intelligence officer killed by a combined Army-police team in South Cotabato Monday.

Combined personnel of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-11, the South Cotabato Provincial Police and the Army’s 5^th Special Forces Battalion were to peacefully arrest John Nebris Omega in Barangay Cannery Site in Polomolok but neutralized him instead when he pulled out a gun and opened fire.

COTABATO CITY --- The police arrested Sunday in Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao a suspect in three high-profile crimes whose 12 alleged co-perpetrators together perished in a clash with policemen in January.

Police Major Esmael Madin, provincial officer for Maguindanao of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, said Monday suspect Mike Igal is now clamped down at CIDG-BAR’s detention facility.
