35 MILF members held for uncoordinated travel in Maguindanao

COTABATO CITY --- Authorities foiled late Monday an attempt by 35 armed Moro Islamic Liberation Front members to travel to somewhere in Maguindanao without prior coordination.

They were riding separate vehicles that policemen and soldiers under the Army’s 6th Infantry Division intercepted at a checkpoint in Datu Odin Sinsuat town in Maguindanao, acting on tips by vigilant informants.

Tricycle driver nasunog matapos maaksidente sa Sarangani

MALAPATAN, Sarangani- Kalunos-lunos ang sinapit ng isang tricycle driver matapos masangkot sa vehicular crash sa Malapatan, Sarangani Province kaninang umaga.

Kinilala ni Malapatan Bureau of Fire Protection opertions officer SFO2 Ernesto Besana ang nasawing biktima na si Anthony Abrasado, at taga lungsod ng Koronadal.

Nangyari  ang aksidente bandang alas 5:40 kaninang umaga kung saan papuntang Glan ang biktima lulan ang tricycle kasama ang asawa at dalawang anak nito.

We are still in a state of shock as one of our reporters Orlando "Dondon" Dinoy was gunned down last Friday inside his rented apartment in Bansalan, Davao del Sur.

Philippine National Police Regional Director BGen Filmore Escobal has informed us that Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) Dinoy has been created and assured us of a speedy investigation on the case to unmask the culprit who cowardly killed our helpless reporter.

NDBC mourns untimely demise its TIMRA reporter

The Notre Dame Broadcasting Corporation mourns, and condemns, the brutal killing of NDBC Tingog Mindanao Radio Alliance (TIMRA) reporter Orlando DonDon Dinoy on Saturday night.

Dinoy was shot dead Saturday evening inside his apartment by unidentified culprit in Bansalan, Davao del Sur

Dinoy has been our stringer/reporter based in Davao de Sur for almost a decade.

Whether the matter was personal or work related, Dinoy does not deserve to die this way.

We appeal to the authorities for a speedy investigation.

Radioman Dondon Dinoy slain in Bansalan gun attack

BANSALAN, Davao del Sur - Unidentified gunman shot dead today Orlando "Don-Don" Dinoy inside his apartment in Mother Ignacia Street, Barangay Poblacion Uno at about 6 p.m. 

Bansalan Chief Major Peter Glen Ipong confirmed the incident and that investigation is still in progress.

Dinoy serves as Davao del Sur provincial correspondent for NDBC Radyo Bida.  He used to write for Philippine Daily Inquirer, Sunstar Davao and recently as correspondent for Newsline.ph 

Major Ipong could not say if the crime was work related.

2 elusive drug dealers fall in Marawi sting

MARAWI CITY - Policemen seized P109,820 worth of shabu from two elusive traffickers who finally got entrapped in Barangay Bubonga here Wednesday, a regional police official announced Friday.

Brig. Gen. Eden Ugale, director of the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, said Benjamin Mangcol Abubakar and Nofail Campong Amenodin are now detained, to be prosecuted for violation of the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

3 dealers arrested, P6.8-M worth shabu seized in Tawi-Tawi 

COTABATO CITY -- Anti-narcotics operatives seized P6.8 million worth of shabu from three traffickers, one of them a woman, entrapped in Bongao, Tawi-Tawi Saturday.

Haita Motalib Sakiral, 26, Rudymar Hamsiri, 31 and the 26-year-old woman, Nurmilyn Jurdi Haibit, are now detained, to be prosecuted for violation of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Irate dad kills three-month old for crying non-stop

COTABATO CITY --- A 20-year-old father is now detained for the death of his three-month old child whose head he hit with a feeding bottle for crying out loud non-stop despite having been given infant formula.

Personnel of the Cotabato City Police Station 1 managed to immediately clamp down suspect Mucher Repalda Flores after receiving a report on his having killed his child in their house in Barangay Poblacion 4 here.

Neighbors said they are convinced Flores was hooked to drugs, based on his recurrent mood swings where acted agitated and irrational.

Man in electric meter theft enters guilty plea during arraignment

COTABATO CITY - Inamin ng isang lalaking naaresto ng mga police sa kasong pagnanakaw ng electric meter ng Cotabato Light and Power Company (Cotabato Light) sa Barangay Rosary Heights 11, Cotabato City nitong buwan ng Mayo 2021.

Sa arraignment ng kasong pagnanakaw laban kay Mark Chio Dimao, nagharap ng "guilty plea" si Dimao sa pagnanakaw ng electric meter sa Penafrancia Subdivision, Cotabato City.

Ang guilty plea ay pag-amin ng pagkakasala sa ginawang arraignment sa korte.
