KORONADAL CITY - A huge truck blocks portion of a major highway here after its under chassis parts broke, turning the 22-wheeled vehicle to tilt on its side Friday dawn.A broken eye beam of the 22-wheeler truck triggered it tilt on its side along the descending portion of the highway in Barangay Paraiso at about 4 a.m.The driver, Jerson Bisa, 43 of Polomolok, South Cotabato, who sustained minor bruises, said he heard a loud thud under the vehicle's engine compartment.When he applied the brake, the vehicle's rear portion skidded until it tilted to its left.

KORONADAL CITY -- Police arrested here today a man engaged in illegal drug pushing during a drug-buy bust operation along a housing subdivision.Chief Inspector Jomero Sentinta, Koronadal City deputy police chief, identified the suspect as Donny Palic Juanico, 31 and resident of San Felipe, Tantangan, South Cotabato.Sentinta said the raiding team seized four sachets of methamphetamine hydrochloride, known as shabu from the suspect. ESPERANZA, Sultan Kudarat - A fire of still unknown origin razed to the ground at least four houses inside a residential compound in Purok Malipayon, Barnagay Poblacion, Esperanza, Sultan Kudarat at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.The Esperanza PNP and the town's bureau of fire protection personnel came just in time to prevent the spread of fire to other houses, mostly made of light materials.Arson investigation is still going on.
