Wayward delivery van kills motorist in Tupi, South Cotabato

KORONADAL CITY -- A motorist was killed after he was hit by a speeding Mitsubishi Canter closed-van delivery vehicle along the national highway in Tupi, South Cotabato Wednesday morning.Declared dead on arrival at a hospital in Tupi was Paul Bryan Joven, 24, a resident of Poblacion Tupi.Initial investigation showed that the delivery van lost is brake system as it descend along the national highway manned by traffic officers enforcing speed limits.The van only came to a halt after it hit a coconut tree.The van driver who was not identified in the report is now detained facing charges of reckless imprudence resulting to death.
