PARANG, Maguindanao --- The municipal government here on Tuesday offered P50,000 for any information leading to the arrest of the suspect in Sunday’s bombing of a bus here that hurt six passengers.

Parang Mayor Cahar Ibay, chairperson of the municipal peace and order council, told reporters Tuesday he will release the amount without question once the culprit is identified and arrested.

PARANG, Maguindanao - The perpetrators of Sunday’s bus bombing here planted two explosives in the vehicle but only one went off, hurting six passengers.

In separate statements Monday, the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region and the Army’s 6^th Infantry Division said there are indications that a group opposing the operation of the Rural Tours on the Dipolog-Pagadian-Cotabato-GenSan route could be responsible for the bombing of its unit while in Barangay Makir here.

We strongly condemn the recent IED explosion inside the back portion of Rural Tours Bus with body no. 10738 that resulted in the wounding of at least four civilian passengers. The bus was on its way to Pagadian from Cotabato City.

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao — Maj. Gen. Juvymax Uy, 6th Infantry Division commander, has condemned the Rural Transit Bus bomb attack in Parang, Maguindanao.

Major General Uy, also Joint Task Force Central commander, described the attack as "an act of cowardice and unprovoked aggression targeting innocent civilians in the middle of the observance of the Holy Month of Ramadan."

PARANG, Maguindanao  – At least four passenger were reported injured when a suspected improvised bomb went off  inside a parked Rural Tours bus here which is bound for Dipolog City from Cotabato City.

The explosion occurred at about 7 a.m. inside the bus (Body Numbver 10738) parked about a kilometer away from the regional headquarters of police in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

Bomb experts are still at the scene.

CAMP SK PENDATUN, Maguindanao --- Gunmen shot dead a 20-year-old Imam and wounded four others in a gun attack in Barangay Bulak Sapa in Sumisip, Basilan late Friday.

In an initial statement Saturday, the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region identified the fatality as Mutilan Como Ajanab, who died from multiple gunshot wounds.

Four others - Rashid Hajibain Suraman, 48, Abdulmalik Suraman Jumlatal, 34, Hafidz Suraman Jumlatal, 23 and the 15-year-old Harisa Hajibain Hadjail - were wounded in the attack.

MIDSAYAP, North Cotabato--- Authorities clamped down yesterday a tricycle driver for attempting to transport somewhere in this town three assault rifles.

The 28-year-old Avier Amal was intercepted by personnel of the Army’s 34^th Infantry Battalion at a checkpoint in Kapinpilan area here, his tricycle carrying two M14 assault rifles and an M653 rifle.

Amal was said to have come from the border of Midsayap and Datu Piang town in Maguindanao, where there is presence of the outlawed Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters.

MANILA – The Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) on Thursday announced the arrest of another suspect in the 2009 Maguindanao massacre in Cotabato City.

COTABATO CITY - Personnel of the police’s elite Special Action Force shot dead a recalcitrant suspect in the Nov. 23, 2009 Maguindanao Massacre they were to peacefully arrest here on Thursday morning.

Surin Mentang fired a gun at the SAF team and soldiers from the Army’s 40^th Infantry Battalion approaching his hideout in Sitio Itil in Barangay Satan, Shariff Aguak, Maguindanao to serve him an arrest warrant, provoking a gunfight that resulted in his death.
