KORONADAL CITY
(Sept. 27) – Mayor Peter Miguel has offered additional reward for five other
suspects responsible in the daring heist of Agencia Brillantes following the
arrest of the gang leader.

Miguel,
speaking over Happy FM-Koronadal, admitted the P50,000 reward he offered
following the robbery that left two security guards dead and four others
wounded, including two minors, had already been awarded to the informant who
provided police with vital information leading to Khadaffy Guiamelon’s arrest.

Man stabs 52-year-old businesswoman

COTABATO CITY (Sept. 19) – A 52-year-old money-lending
businesswoman is now fighting for her life after a man stabbed her Thursday
afternoon.

Senior Insp.
Efren Salazar, police station 1 chief, said Cecilia Sawit, resident of Zone 2,
PC Hill, Cotabato City.

Salazar said
the suspect who was known to Sawit came to apply for a loan. He was allowed entry inside the victim’s
home.

TACURONG CITY
(Sept. 17/NDBC) – The local government of Tacurong City has exceled in the
Citizen Satisfaction Index System (CSIS) of theBureau of Local Government Supervision
(BLGS) of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).

In a statement
released today, DILG-12 said the feat earned by Tacurong local government unit
was highlighted during the National Forum on CSIS 2013 Implementation cum
Orientation-Training for 2014 CSIS Implementation in San Juan City.

suspect

KIDAPAWAN CITY – Police arrested here Tuesday
a farmer for allegedly abducting and raping a minor in Barangay Amas, Kidapawan
City last week.

Vergel
Medina, 22, of Barangay Amas did not resist arrest when elements of the PNP
Criminal Investigation and Detection Team (CIDT) swooped down on his home in
Barangay Amas.

The
raiding team also rescued the minor who, report said, had been under Medina’s
custody since Sept. 10.

Medina
denied the charges against him.

MAGPET (Sept. 16/NDBC) -- The three police officers wounded in a roadside bomb set off by communist rebels in a remote village here are now safe, a police officer said Tuesday afternoon. Police Senior Inspector Realan Mamon, Magpet police chief, saidPO2 Jop Limangan, PO2 John Bilango and PO2 Rudy Ticangen, all members of the PNP's Special Action Force (SAF), are now being treated in an undisclosed hospital in Kidapawan City.

CITY (Sept. 16/NDBC) --The South Cotabato review program for Civil Service Commission examination
was proven to be effective, a provincial official said today.

Speakign during a news conference,Rodit
Cruz, head of South Cotabato Human Resource and Management Office (HRMO), after
the program was launched last year, 15 employees of the provincial government
passed the CSC career service professional examination.
