On Sunday,
people here, led by Mayor Freddie Mangudadatu, celebrated the first ever Taruk
Festival, a celebration of thanksgiving for bountiful harvest of fresh fish.

COTABATO CITY – The provincial
government of Maguindanao has renamed its annual Sagayan festival into inaul fest
in promotion of the Moro fabric, which local organizers of this year’s Miss Universe
pageant have adopted for use as part of the traditional attires of more than 80
competing candidate-coeds.

KORONADAL CITY - Dog owners and pet lovers showed off their dogs in this city's dog festival highlighted by a dog fashion show with pets donning Duterte like dresses Sunday.The dog fashion show was part of the 16th Charter anniversary of Koronadal City.Dr. Charliemaine Calo, Koronadal City veterinary chief, a free anti-rabies vaccination form part of the celebration held at Rizal Park here.Chloe Sio, a dog owner, told Radyo Bida Koronadal, they joined the dos fashion show to enticed others to be responsible pet owners and be animal lovers.

SANTOS, Philippines (Sept. 14) -- Fisher folks in the sub-village of Minanga in
Buayan district here regularly see fish catching bird. But about a week ago, they saw the big one
which turned out to be an Australian Pelican, a foreign avian migrant bird.

Local birds
gliding from afar to catch a fish off Gen. Santos bay every morning has been a
daily thing for 62-year-old Levy Discamento, a local resident.
