Magnitude 6 earthquake jolts Davao Oriental, SM mall has damages

COTABATO CITY - A magnitude 6.1 earthquake rocks Sarangani and part of Soccsksargen region Wednesday morning, the state volcanology office today said.

In a bulletin, the Phivolcs said the quake struck at 7:22 a.m. and its epicenter was traced a kilometer away from SArangani town in Davao Occidental.

NDBC COVID 19 WATCH: 54 healed, 28 new cases

Mas marami pa rin ang bilang ng mga pasyenteng gumaling na mula sa Coronavirus Disease sa Soccsksargen Region.

Ayon sa talaan ng Department of Health hanggang kagabi, 54 ang mga pasyenteng tuluyan ng gumaling mula sa nakamamatay na sakit.

Sa 54 na pasyenteng gumaling, 23 ang taga Sarangani, 11 Cotabato City, 10 South Cotabato, 8 General Santos City at tig-iisa sa North Cotabato at Sultan kudarat.

Dahil dito umaabot na sa 3,833 ang total recoveries ng Covid 19 sa Rehiyon. Kahapon din, naitala ng DOH ang 28 panibagong coronavirus infection sa Rehiyon.

Isa namang vehicular accident ang nangyari ngayong gabi sa Barangay Gen. Paulino Santos, Koronadal City

Sangkot sa nasabing aksidente ng banggaan ng isang tricycle at isang Yamaha aerox.

Papasok sana sa National Highway ang motorsiklo nang mahagip ito ng bus.

Nabatid na 3 ang sakay ng motorsiklo na pawang mga residente ng Barangay San Roque.

Sa ngayon ay inaalam pa ang pagkakakilanlan ng mga sakay ng motorsiklo.

Isinugod naman sa hospital ang 2 sakay ng motorsiklo.

Patungong Koronadal City ang Mindanao Star bus mula Gen. Santos City.

PRRD and BARMM chief minister meet in Davao

DAVAO CITY - Chief Minister Ahod “Al Haj Murad” Ebrahim met with His Excellency President Rodrigo Roa Duterte yesterday, November 23 in Davao City.

Chief Minister Ebrahim briefed the president with the significant accomplishments of the Bangsamoro Government, including the progress of the priority codes and legislative acts that the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) need to enact. The meeting also covered the emerging challenges in the peace process and the opportunities for partnership and collaboration in moving forward.

Broadcast-print journalist Malu Cadeliña-Manar succumbs to cardiac arrest

KIDAPAWAN CITY - Veteran print and broadcast journalist Malu Cadeliña-Manar "writes 30" Sunday night. 

She succumbed to cardiac arrest Sunday night.  She is 52-years-old.

She was rushed to Kidapawan Medical Specialist Hospital after complaining of breast pain but breathed her last at about 6:30 p.m.

Malu Manar was a public affairs anchorperson of Ronda FM in Kidapawan City and correspondent of on line news portal www.mindanews.com and Manila Bulletin national newspaper at the time of her demise.

BARMM registers 216 Covid-19 recoveries

COTABATO CITY – A total of 216 patients have recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) across the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) as of Friday night, the regional health office reported.

“We are really trying our best to flatten the curve,” Dr. Amirel Usman, acting minister of the Ministry of Health - BARMM, said on Saturday.

Usman also noted six new Covid-19 infections in the region as of Friday night.

Kidapawan job order workers hold vigil in protest over cut in SP 2021 budget

KIDAPAWAN CITY -- At least 70 job order and casual employees of the city vice mayor's office conducted a vigil at the city hall lobby tonight (Nov. 5) as stand off among members of the council and the presiding officer was on going.

This after the mayor's office cut down budget for next year of the city legislative body. 

Kidapawan City Mayor Joseph Evangelista remained "zippered lips" on the issue about next year's budget (pre-election year).

NDBC COVID WATCH: 45 patients recover, 22 new infections and one death

COTABATO CITY - Forty-five Covid-19 patients have recovered from the disease in Region 12 on Nov. 1, All Saints' Day, the Department of Health Center for Health Development reported today.

Of the number of patients to have survived the virus, 28 were from Maasim, Sarangani, 14 in Cotabato City, two in Gen. Santos City and one in South Cotabato.

To date, the total number of recovery is now at 2,023.
