(UPDATE) 3 earthquakes hit Mindanao

KORONADAL CITY – Threeearthquakes (Magnitude 4.8 and Magnitude 4.7) hit three separate areas Mindanao early today, the Philippine
Institute of Volacnology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
No casualty or damage to properties
were reported in the earthquake described by Phivolcs as tectonic in origin.
In a bulletin, Phivolcs recorded the
first magnitude 4.8 tremor at 1:36 a.m. about 210 kilometers east of Sarangani
in Davao Occidental. It has a deep of 96 kilometers.
The second tremor occurred at 3:31
a.m. and traced about 244 kilometers east of Gov. Generoso town in Davao
Oriental. It has a depth of 56
kilometers.
At 7.01 a.m. today, a Magnitude 4.7 hit Sulu archipelago, Phivolcs said. The tremor, which was also tectonic, was traced 332 kilometers east of Kalingalan Caluang, Sulu (Celebes Sea) and has a depth of 576 kilometers.Phivolcs said aftershocks were
recorded in the affected areas.
