Police officer, still in cop's uniform, arrested for selling shabu In Koronadal

KORONADAL CITY -- Anti-narcotics agents arrested before New Year a police officer tasked to maintain law and order and fight illegal activities, police said.His fault - PO2 Ruben Morales, 39was pushing illegal drugs or shabuwith his wife in the city, according to Dr. Glerio Sandig, action officer of Koronadal City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (CADAC).Morales is assigned with the South Cotabato police provincial office.After surveillance operations conducted against Morales have been confirmed, a buy bust operation was conducted.He was supposed to be out on the street to secure residents as they prepare to welcome the New Year. But PO2Morales was busy attending to his business of illegal drugs. Supt Barney Condes of Koronadal City PNP and operatives fromCADAC went toPurok Bayanihan, Barangay Santa Cruz, Koronadal to arrest PO2 Morales.He was believed under the influenced of shabu when police nabbed him with shabu paraphernalia, marked money,two hand grenades and his service firearm.He was also wearing his police uniform when he sold shabu to a police asset.Arrested with him was his live-in partner, Jona Pregua, 19 of Barangay San Felipe, Tantangan, South Cotabato.
