Police nab 5 high-value drug suspects in N. Cotabato
KIDAPAWAN CITY – Five suspected drug personalities, all considered high-value targets, were arrested in three separate raids in Matalam, North Cotabato in what they dubbed as, One Time, Big Time , under Duterte administration’s war against drugs.Chief Inspector Sunny Leoncito, chief of Matalam PNP, identified the suspects as Neneng Galvez, Ralph Sosmena, both residents of Purok Rosal, Poblacion, Matalam Mastura Silongan, Jessie Toranio, and Kasanudin Colin, all residents of Purok Birds of Paradise, Poblacion.Leoncito said they recovered from the raids several sachets of methamphetamine hydrochloride or knows as ‘shabu’, and drug paraphernalia.They have yet to determine the estimated value of the shabu they seized from the suspects.The items were turned over to the Cotabato PNP Crime Laboratory for further examination.Still on the loose are high-value targets identified as Che-Che Aquino, Tata Santillan, and Pokwang Toranio, and three other suspected drug personalities from nearby Barangay Kilada, also in Matalam, who were able to elude arrest during the operations.The raids in Matalam were conducted after a successful operations in nearby Kabacan town in April this year where authorities seized from several high-value targets several grams of shabu whose worth were estimated at P1 million.
