DepEd releases performance bonus for Kidapawan teachers
KIDAPAWAN CITY – The Kidapawan City Schools Division of the Department of Education (DepEd) has released on Monday the performance-based bonus (PBB) of their 1,500 teachers and non-teaching personnel, an education official said.Superintendent Romelito Flores of the Kidapawan City Schools Division said the PBB is equivalent to 57.5 percent of the monthly salary of the teachers and non-teaching workers.Flores admitted delays in the release of the PBB, which is for school year 2015 to 2016. This was because we first conducted thorough evaluation and assessment of the papers and other documents submitted to our division for the PBB, he explained.The Kidapawan City Schools Division has received over-all ratings of ‘better’ performance from school year 2015-2016.The release for such bonus has been approved by the Department of Budget and Management and funds had already a notice of cash allocation.The Cotabato Schools Division is also set to release the 2016 PBB of their teachers and non-teaching personnel anytime this week, according to Cotabato schools division superintendent Omar Obas.
