3 men rob woman on board passenger jeep in Cotabato City
COTABATO CITY --A woman who worked as sales lady in Manila and on vacation in the city lost her P27,000 cash to three men while aboard a Town Ace passenger jeep along Sinsuat Avenue, Cotabato City.Sandra Mama Datukaka, 20 ofPurveyors subdivision, Barangay Rosary Heights 11, Cotabato City arrived oon Tuesday from Manila and boarded a passenger jeepney from Crossing Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao.As the jeep was approaching her destination, she pulled out her wallet to take out money, unconsciously exposing her P1,000 bills.The driver gestured to pay her fare to the man beside her that she presumed was the fare collector.Datukaka told police that as the vehicle was near Cotabato Regional and Medical Center, the one of thethree men passengers, including the conductor, grabbed her wallet.She resistedand yelled, creating a commotion inside the moving jeep. The three suspects quickly disembarked and fled.The jeepney driver tried to escape by turning left but village tanod watchmen, on board a Barangay Rosary Heights 3 patrol vehicle tailing the Town Ace, noticed the incident at past 12 noon.They flagged down the passenger jeep and brought the driver to Police Station 2. Datukaka believed the driver was a partner in crime. Police identified the driver asButocan Mando Ali of Talayan, Maguindanao who is now detained at police station 2 lock up cell.
