KIDAPAWAN CITY – Police and military forces in
North Cotabato arrested Tuesday dawn a man believed to be member of a bomb
mercenary group operating in Central Mindanao region.

Senior Supt. Emmanuel Peralta,
North Cotabato police provincial director, said raid by joint police and 7th
Infnatry Battalion troopers was conducted at 4 a.m. in Baangay Inas, Mlang,
North Cotabato and led to the arrest of Jokrie Andong Buisan.

COTABATO CITY -– Army bomb experts defused in Sultan Kudarat town in Maguindanao a
powerful improvised explosive device at about 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Traffic
linking Cotabato City and North Cotabato have been interrupted for about 2
hours while Army bomb experts deactivated the powerful explosive, according to
Colonel Earl Baliao, commander of 603rd Infantry Brigade.

AMPATUAN, Maguindanao – A soldier was injured when suspected members
of outlawed Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) set off a roadside
explosive Tuesday morning, the Army said.

Colonel
Felicisimo Budiongan, commander of the 1st Mechanized brigade, said the
soldiers were conducting foot patrol and road security along the road leading
to Datu Piang town from Datu Saudi Ampatuan when the explosive went off at 9:30
a.m. in Barangay Lower Salbu.

CITY – A soldier-trainor was killed while nine others were injured when
a fragmentation grenade accidentally went off during grenade handling
demonstration inside an Army Reservist training ground in Gen. Santos City
Monday afternoon, police said today.

fragmentation grenade in her employer’s home Monday.

house helper of Rolando Dorio, former employee of Sagittarius Mines
Incorporated in Tampakan, South Cotabato, was sweeping in front of Doria’s home
at about 10 a.m. when she noticed a box in Barangay Sto Nino, Koronadal City.
