CITY - More fresh agricultural products will now be reaching the heart of Tupi,
South Cotabato and its nearby places from Barangay Lunen because of the concrete
farm-to-market road (FMR) project of the Department of Agriulture (DA-12) implemented
under Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP).

The
agricultural products expected to be traveled in the Php41.85-M FMR sub-project
are cassava, coffee, cacao, rubber and other high value crops.

KORONADAL CITY --A grade school pupil from Lugan Central Elementary School of Barangay Poblacion, T’boli, South Cotabato was adjudged winner of the regional on-the-spot poster making contest in celebration of this year’s World Food Day. Oscarjay Cuer, a Grade VI pupil from LCES, bested other participants from the four divisions of SOCCSKSARGEN region that joined the contest. KIDAPAWAN CITY --Rubber tappers in North Cotabato are crying for higher buying price of rubber cup lump as prices continue to drop they believed was due to monopoly.Jerry Alborme,Free Tappers Federation (FTF), told DXND Radyo Bida that capitalists are controlling and manipulating prices of raw rubber products, putting the ordinary tappers under their control.He said rubber traders in North Cotabato are in cahoots with big time rubber traders like theDAVCO, SUPREME, Pharma, Pacheco, Pioneer and Platinum rubber firms.
