PARANG, Maguindanao – Police have identified the
suspect in the beheading of two farmers here last whose remains have been
buried today.

Supt. Ibrahim Jamiran, police chief of Parang
municipal police office, said the suspects in the brutal murder of Cesan Fermin
and Jaybob Bestas belonged to a group of crime groups whose members were killed
during police operations two weeks ago, also in Parang, Maguindanao.

The suspects even threatened the police they will
get back at our troops, Jamiran said, referring to the companions of slain suspected
guns-for-fire Abib Sarotsong, Acero Kibad and a certain Todto Pangilian, all
residents of Barangay Liong, Barira, Maguindanao.

They were killed during shootout with policemen on
April 18 in Barangay Gumagadong Calawag, Parang.

Jamiran said the names of the suspects who beheaded the
two farmers cropped up during an inter-agency task force meeting of officials
of four adjoining towns of Parang, Barira, Matanog and Buldon.

Jamiran said the crime group targeted the civilians because
they could not get even with the police. Our police office even received
threats from the group that they will continue harassing Parang PNP.

Jamiran said the suspects even posted their firearms
firepower they will use against the police in the social media.

When asked why the crime gang vented their ire on
civilians and not the police, Jamiran said they will kill innocent persons,
those who cannot defend themselves because they cannot fight the police.

We will not stop until all of them will be behind
bars, the police chief added.

Emotions ran high when the two beheaded farmers were
laid to rest this morning. Their dead bodies were found in the working area of
a coconut plantation in Barangay Gumagadong Calawag on April 28 but their heads
were recovered in Barira town.

Relatives cried for justice.

A priest who blessed their remains said they were
victims of terrorism since the victims were innocent of any offense and were
ordinary coconut workers.

We are not asking for more, we just want justice,
we will not stop unless justice is served, Emily Fermin, the sister of one of
the farmer-victims.

Jamiran said two of the beheading suspects have sent
fillers they will surrender anytime today or tomorrow. (Ferdinandh Cabrera)
