Cotabato City social wefare office holds Lakad Alay sa Kababaihan

COTABATO CITY -- The Office on Social Welfare and Development
Services (OSWDS) here commemorates Women’s Day tomorrow, March 8, with an early
morning Lakad Alay Sa Kababaihan.

The activity, with tickets pegged at P20.00, aims to raise funds
for women inmates of the Cotabato City Jail, a fitting start for the day’s
events which include a garage sale and and Ear Detox activity.

The Lakad Alay sa Kababaihan will begin at 6and00 a.m. the
Cotabato City State Polytechnic College and will end at the old Cotabato City
Hall downtown.

Ticket holders are automatically included in a raffle with set
cash prizes.

Funds to be raised from the walk and the day’s other events will
be used to buy hygiene kits and other needs of the women inmates, according to
the OSWDS.

Tickets and additional information are available at the OSWDS at
City Hall.

The events are part of the Women’s Month celebration with the
theme We Make Change Work for Women.
