PRO-12 chief convenes staff to discuss state of lawlessness

GEN. SANTOS CITY -Chief Supt. Cedrick Train, police regional director for Region 12, on Monday presided an emergency conference with his general staff and police provincial directors to discuss President Duterte's declaration of state of lawlessness in the country.During the conference, Train ordered all police officials in the regionto maximize all personnel including those rendering duty at regional and provincial headquarters to augment the local police station in the
conduct of police visibility, manning ofcheck points andchoke points.

He also placed the entire police force in South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Saranggani, North Cotabato and the cities of Cotabato, Kidapawan, Tacurong, Koronadal and Gen. Santos under full alert status following the Davao City bombing over the weekend.Train alsoassured the public that PNP-12 is on top of the situation and
that all necessary security measures are already installed.

Meanwhile, Supt. Romeo Galgo Jr, chief public information office, has appealed to the public to be vigilant and be aware of
their surroundings especially on unattended items such as boxes, cartoons,
bags and other containers that could possibly contain explosives.

We appeal to the public to please
bear with the security measures that we are implementing now especially on
ourestablished checkpoints, choke points.
Please cooperate with our men so we can effectively preempt any untoward
incident within our area of responsibility, Galgo said. In behalf of the men and women of PRO 12, we are also
