Couple in shabu buy and sell business falls

KORONADAL CITY - For a couple here, illegal drug pushing and selling was a good business and that money comes easy.However, anything illegal does not last long, Alson Ledesma and his wife Grace realized after they were arrested and jailed.Supt. Nestor Salcedo, Koronadal City PNP chief, said the couple who reside in Agan subdivision, Barangay Sta Cruz,Koronadal City was placed under surveillance following reports it has been pushing prohibited substance.A poseur buyer went to the couple's location, at a lodging house along Guanzon Village in Barangay Sta. Cruz.Ledesma 58 and his wife, an engineering graduate, were surprised when lawmen knocked in the room they have been occupying at past midnight Monday. Salcedo said the raiding team seized two jumbo packs of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, two large and twosize sachets and P37,000 cash.Ledesma told police he was getting supplies from a contact in a shabu laboratory inMarawi City. The couple has been charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
