Passenger van wanted for hitting Kidapawan traffic officer
KIDAPAWAN
CITY (Sept. 20) – Traffic authorities here are searching a van driver who
intentionally hit a lady traffic during inspection Friday.
Rey
Manar, Traffic Management Unit (TMU) head, his office will file appropriate charges
against the unidentified driver of passenger van (MVZ-957) who, according to
witnesses, hit Traffic Enforcer Macel Regis.
Regis
and another TMU member Jayfil Canja, were manning traffic flow in front of
Lanao Elementary School in Barangay Lanaoand assisting pedestrian in crossing the national
highway.
Manar
said Regis was flagging down the color green passenger van after it picked up a
passenger near Gaisano Mall, a no loading and unloading zone.
But
the van ignored her, worst it hit the lady traffic enforcer,” Manar told Radyo
Bida Kidapawan.
After
hitting the lady traffic officer, the van driver sped away.
Regis
sustained bruises and injuries in her back. She is now recuperating at a local
hospital.
