Man shoots woman in Cotabato City

COTABATO CITY (Sept. 20) – Unidentified man shot and
seriously wounded a woman Friday afternoon along busy streets of this city,
police said today.
Wounded and is being treated at the Cotabato
Regional and Medical Center was Aigie Naranjo, 39, resident of Penafrancia
Village, Cotabato City.
Speaking to DXMS Radyo Bida this morning,Senior Inspector Efren Salazar, Cotabato City police
station 1 chief, said the victim was walking near the corner of Don Rufino
Alonzo Street and Dorotheo Street, a few meters away from Police Station 1
office when the suspect shot him in the head.
The crime scene was a densely populated are it being located near the city plaza and the city's commercial district.Responding policemen rush the victim to the Cotabato
Puericulture Hospital and later transferred to CRMC.
Police recovered an empty shell for cal. 45 at the
crime scene.
We have no idea as to the motive yet, we are still
to coordinate with the victim’s family,” Salazar said.The incident was among the many shooting incidents happening in the city that already alarmed residents.
