Woman hurt in 2 separate blasts in Polomolok, S. Cotabato
KORONADAL CITY -– A woman was injured when two men riding tandem on a motorbike lobbed
a hand grenade at a roadside videoke bar in Polomolok, South Cotabato on Sunday
night, police said.
A day earlier,
an improvised bomb exploded at the back of a parked cargo truck in front of a
restaurant on national highway Barangay Magsaysay. Nobody was hurt.
Responding
policemen found fragments of improvised bomb, a mobile phone used as triggering
device and two unexploded improvised explosive made of 40 mm grenades.
Reports reaching
DXOM-AM Radyo Bida Koronadal from South Cotabato police provincial office,
showed the grenade went off Sunday night, wounding Annie Sambulao, 40, cashier
of a videoke bar along the national highway in Barangay Pagalungan, Polomolok.Sambulao, who sustained
shrapnel injuries on body, is now confined at South Cotabato provincial
hospital in Koronadal City.
Police could not say
whether the twin attacks were related, saying investigation continues.
