Sultan Kudarat wanted drug personality yields, cops seize P500,000 worth shabu
KORONADAL CITY – A man in Columbio,
Sultan Kudarat and the No. 1 wanted drug personality by the local police has
voluntarily surrendered over the weekend after a team seized about half-million
worth of prohibited drugs in his house, a police official today said.
Supt. Romeo Galgo, spokesperson of Police
Regional Office (PRO-12), identified the suspected pusher as Arjay Haden C.
Motalib, 28, married but unemployed and a resident of Purok 3, Barangay Poblacion
Columbio, Sultan Kudarat.
Galgo told and//www.ndbcnews.com.ph/ www.ndbcnews.com.ph that Motalib
surrendered through the efforts and negotiation of town Mayor Amirh Musali and
Senior Inspector Bernard Francia, town police chief.
He peacefully turned himself in to
police at 3 p.m. on Friday.
Galgo said before Motalib turned
himself in, a police and military team armed with a warrant searched Motalib’s
home where seven big sachets of shabu with an estimate market value of about P500,000
worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride were found and retrieved. But he was not
home.
Mayor Musali and Senior Inspector
Francia then negotiated with Motalib’s parents to help convinced him to surface.
Motalib is now under the custody of
PNP-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Sultan Kudarat.
