Robbery suspect dies in shootout with Cotabato PNP

COTABATO CITY
(Sept. 26) – Responding just in time, police assigned at the Supermarket area
in Cotabato City foiled a robbery hold-up attempt Thursday afternoon, police
said.
Senior Supt.
Rolen Balquin, Cotabato City police director, said one of two suspects was
killed while another managed to escape following shootout at 3 p.m.
Balquin said
Mohammad Tongaw was killed when he shot it out with lawmen. His companion, Abdulazis
Sangki alias Fahad was wounded.
Balquin said
Fahad has pending warrant of arrest for similar crime last year.
The two
suspects were to rob a businessman who created noise and called people’s
attention. Responding policemen said the
would-be victim also shoot it out with the suspects.
