KORONADAL CITY - For not paying his monetary debt to a co-inmate, a detainee of the South Cotabato provincial jail was stabbed Monday, jail officials said.Jail Warden Juan Lanzaderas said Jonathan Malantoc who was facing robbery with carnapping charges stabbed repeatedly his co-detainee Altani Dansalan. Lanzaderas said Dansalan owed Malantoc's OFW relative ofP10,000. Following the incident, jail officials confiscated bladed weapons from other inmates. COTABATO CITY - The second batch of suspects in the Davao City bombing arrested in Cotabato City before Saturday's President Duterte's visit to ARMM have been brought to Davao to face charges.Mohammad Lalaog Chenikandiyil alias Datu Bo,Jackson Mangulamas Usi alias Abu Mansor/Jam Zack Villanueva Lopez alias Haron and Ansan Abdulla Mamasapano alias Abu Hamsa, all Cotabato City based members of Maute terror group, were brought by CIDG to Davao City under tight security.They were arrested based on search warrants issued by a local court and information provided for by three suspects earlier arrested for their alleged involvement in the Davao bombing that claimed 15 lives. KORONADAL CITY - A fire of still unknown origin hit an internet cafe, a residential house and a variety store cum gasoline store in Barangay Topland here at 3 p.m. today.Investigators believed the fire started from the cooking area of Teresita Carreon's home. The 65-year-old Carreon was preparing food to be brought to the cemetery. She left and proceeded to the market, hoping her food is done when she returns.But a conflagration occurred and quickly spread to a store selling gasoline. Reports said a child was slightly injured during the incident. COTABATO CITY - The Low Pressure Area (LPA) has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). Embedded along the ITCZ, it was spotted at 810 km east of Davao City as of 6 p.m. Monday.In the next hours, Visayas, Mindanao, Bicol Region and the province of Palawan will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms. LIBUNGAN, North Cotabato - Mayor Christopher Cuan is now out on bail after police anti-narcotics operatives found unlicensed guns from his home in Barangay Kabayuran, Libungan, North Cotabato on Saturday dawn.Cuan vehemently denied he was into illegal drugs and expressed regrets having joining politics. He admitted he owned the guns but it was purposely for his own security.He claimed politics was behind his arrest. He did not elaborate.
