NDJC delegate sings with RnB Knight Duncan

MIDSAYAP,
North Cotabato (Sept. 27) – A 22-year-old student of Notre Dame of Jolo College
(NDJC) had the greatest performance of her life, when the Knight of RnB Duncan
Ramos, invited her on stage to sing with him during the OnMomentIn75” concert
of the 75th jubilee year of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate here.

Sarah Lumbak was among the more than 6,000 spectators of the jubilee concert at
NDMC open field on Thursday night.

It
was a dream come true,” Lumbak said after performing Someone Like You” by
Adelle with Duncan, her idol.

Duncan
was my idol, kahit sa ASAP every Sunday pinapanood ko siya noon, tapos
nakasabay ko pagkanta sa historic event ng OMI, very happy po,” she said after her
performance” that made her superstar of the night” among her colleagues from
Jolo.While
about to render the hit song Someone Like You,” the RnB Knight asked for a single-lady”
volunteer to sing with him. Many raised their hands, yelling to get his
attention but Lumbak did not even raise her or bother if Duncan was
acknowledging her.

Lumbak
jumped from her seat, ran to the stage, telling herself this is what I am
waiting for.” In less than five seconds, she was on stage.

She
performed well with Duncan and at least for that night, both have the
chemistry. He was seen gesturing the
girl was singing pretty well and has a voice.

The
crowd went wild, especially the Jolo delegation, when Duncan slowly removed his
maroon necktie and put it around Lumbak’s neck as she continue singing.

I
am so happy, I sing and dance with him, I am the happiest person here tonight,”
she said as she held on to Duncan’s necktie on her neck.

I
will have this (tie) framed,” she said in jest.

Earlier
that night, Lumbak went to the NDMC open field ahead of her delegation to have
at least a selfie” with Duncan before the show.

I
keep waiting, searching for his group so I can have a photo with my idol,” she
said. That opportunity did not come.

Lumbak
was not an ordinary fan. I can sing too, I join singing contests in our town,”
she said.

Nikki
the Monster of Happy FM had the night worth remembering too as she joined Luke
Mejares. Luke serenaded her and they parted ways with akiss on her lips.

Princess
Velasco of ASAP and Luke Mejares were with Duncan for the night of fun and
music at NDMC grounds along with local artists as the Oblates celebrate its 75th
year of daring missionary presence in the Philippines.
