KORONADAL CITY – The Kidapawan City National High
School (KCNHS) hauled most of the awards, top award included,in the 2017 PopCom Regional Adolescent, Health
and Development Film Festival during regional awards night here Thursday.
KCNHS bagged the Best Film awards, plaque of
recognition, P10,000 cash prize and additional P25,000 post production prize.
Elban Iglupas, PopCom-12 Adolescent, Health and
Development focal person, said Kidapawan team’s 15-minute film also won Best
Poster, Best Musical Scoring, Best Production and Design, Best Screenplay, and Best
Director awards. Wendy Lee Jose of KCNHS directed the film.Shari Jeil Capotulan ofKCNHS was best actress awardee.He said KCNHS will represent Region 12 in the national contest.Best Film First Runner Up went to Tupi National High
School with P8,000 cash prize while Best Film Second Runner Up was Koronadal Comprehensive
National High School and P5,000 cash.
Tupi National High School’s Jero Catubig won the
best actor awards while Shahid Suhod of Mlang National High School was Best
Supporting Actress.
Tupi also won Best Trailer, Best Editing and Best
Cinematography awards.
Accompanying the Kidapawan Team were coach Julius C.
Cervancia and Marilou Capilitan, RND, Adolescent, Health and Development focal
person of Kidapawan City Health Office.
The Kidapawan team chanted Kidapawan City always No. 1 as they received the top prize.This year’s film festival theme is Post Millennial
