CIDG-North Cotabato agents arrest wanted man
TULUNAN, North
Cotabato -– Operatives of the Criminal Investigation and
Detection Group (CIDG) provincial office on Friday arrested here a man wanted
for his alleged involvement in illegal drug operation and shooting in nearby Davao
del Sur.
Chief
Inspector Christian Garcia, CIDG team leader for North Cotabato, in his report
to CIDG-CenMin, identified the suspect as Alfonso
Rasonable, a transient resident of Barangay Sibsib, Tulunan, North Cotabato.
The
raiding team seized from him a 12 gauge shot gun, a home-made 9mm pistol, three
sachets of shabu, shabu paraphernalia, accessories for cal. 45 pistol and cash
amounting to P4,000.
Garcia
said Rasonable has been placed on a month-long surveillance operation after
receiving report that he was engaged in illegal drug trade.
After
the case was successfully built, the CIDG sought for a search warrant which was
later granted by Judge Alandrex Petoya of Regional Trial Court Branch 16 in
Kabacan, North Cotabato.
Upon
his arrest, the CIDG found in its data base that Rasonable was linked to a
shooting case in Bansalan, Davao del Sur last year and hid in Tulunan.
Garcia
also revealed that Rasonable was included in the PNP-Tulunan order of battle
for illegal drugs.Cases
for violation of RA 10591 or the Comprehensive law on firearms and ammunition,
election gun ban and RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002
against Rasonable are being prepared by authorities.
He is now
detained at CIDG office in Kidapawan City.
