KORONADAL CITY – The city government will open next week a 300-bed isolation facility for coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) patients, increasing its capacity to over 500.

City Mayor Eliordo Ogena said Friday the new isolation center, the fourth in the area and the biggest so far, is being put up at the Koronadal National Comprehensive High School (KNCHS) in Barangay Zone 4.

He said they fast-tracked the conversion of available rooms at the city’s biggest public secondary school in the wake of the continuing spike of Covid-19 cases in the area.

COTABATO CITY --- State agents seized P3.4 million worth of shabu from a trafficker they tried but failed to entrap in Talayan, Maguindanao Wednesday.

Santokan Mantikayan managed to run away fast when he noticed he was to sell half a kilo of shabu to non-uniformed agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

Juvenal Azurin, director of PDEA-BARMM, said Thursday there is a possibility that Mantikayan was hidden from pursuing agents by “sympathizers” in the village where the bungled sting was laid.

South Cotabato gets 12,650 doses of COVID-19 Sinovac vaccines

COTABATO CITY --- The provincial government of South Cotabato got from the health department Wednesday, 12,650 vials of anti-coronavirus Sinovac vaccines for its constituents.

Gov. Reynaldo Tamayo said Wednesday he is grateful to the Department of Health-12 for allocating vaccines for prospective recipients in South Cotabato in the priority list of the Department of Health-12.

COTABATO CITY — The Bangsamoro Government, through its Ministry of Health (MOH), is boosting the delivery of healthcare services for the region’s fight against Covid-19 as it continuously provides vital oxygen delivery medical equipment to hospitals.

MOH Minister Dr. Bashary Latiph said the ministry on Monday, June 14, turned over to Maguindanao Provincial Hospital and Cotabato Sanitarium a total of 90 units of oxygen tanks with regulator, 7,000 pieces of oxygen canula, and 7,000 pieces of non-rebreather masks.

GENERAL SANTOS CITY – Two municipal mayors in South Cotabato province have tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) but both are in “good condition”.

Lake Sebu Mayor Floro Gandam and Tampakan Mayor Leonard Escobillo separately confirmed their status on Tuesday, noting that they are under isolation and being monitored by health care workers.

In an advisory, Gandam informed his constituents that he has contracted Covid-19 but asymptomatic as he did not manifest any symptoms such as cough and fever.

KIDAPAWAN CITY - Inilahad ni Cotabato Provincial Governor Nancy Catamco sa panayam ng Radyo BIDA Kidapawan na may mga pagbabago sa pagpapatupad muli ng General Community Quarantine o GCQ sa lalawigan matapos aprubahan ito ng National IATF.

COTABATO CITY - Isang pasyente ng taga Lanao del Sur at Marawi City ang namatay dahil sa COVID-19, pero mas marami naman ang gumaling.

Sa pinakahuling tala ng Bangsamoro Inter-agency taskforce may 110 na mga pasyenteng gumaling mula sa deadly virus.

Samantala, may 71 panibagong kaso ng nakamamatay na sakit ang naitala ng Ministry of Health sa BARMM.
