North Cotabato police intelligence officer slain in Gen. Santos ambush

KORONADAL CITY - Patay ang isang police intelligence officer ng North Cotabato matapos na siya ay ambusin sa diversion road, Gen. Santos City ngayong gabi.

Naganap ang ambush at pagpatay kay Corporal Ricky Mendoza Gomez alas 6 ng gabi.

Sakay ng kanyang Nmax motorcycle ang biktima nang paputukan ng di pa nakilalang mga suspect gamit ang M16 rifle batay sa empty shell na narecover sa ambush site.

Mismong si Gensan Police Director Col. Nicomides Olaivar ang nagkumpirma na si Gomez ay dumadalo sa Intelligence Basic Course sa PNP Regional Training Center in Lanton, Brgy. Apopong, Gensan.

Nagpapatuloy pa ang imbestigasyon ng GenSan PNP.
