Kidapawan Comelec office close for disinfection, registration suspended

KIDAPAWAN CITY -- Registration of new voters here have been temporarily suspended to give way for disinfection of the Kidapawan City Commission on Elections Office, the city election officer today said.

"To ensure safety of the public, the city Comelec Office in Kidapawan City will be closed until further notice for periodic disinfection and decontamination pursutant to memorandum dated Sept. 1, 2020 issued by the Office of the Executive Director, Comelec, Manila," Election Officer Angelita Failano said in a statement.

She added: "Registration of voters and issuance of voters' certification and other transactions are suspended."

Announcement will be made when the office is ready to resume operations, she added.
