COTABATO CITY -- Former Abu Sayyaf leader Moton Indama finished Thursday a government accelerated study program in exchange for his surrender in 2018.

He returned to the fold of law last year through the joint intercession of the Western Mindanao Command and Basilan Gov. Jim Salliman.

The graduation rite was held at the gymnasium of the Basilan State College in Isabela City.

Indama's reintegration into mainstream society, along with more than 200 other Abu Sayyaf members who returned to the fold of law in batches in the past three years, was hastened with interventions extended by former Gov. Mujiv Hataman of the now defunct Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, now congressman in Basilan.
