Region 12 cities among top 10 most competitive cities in Mindanao

COTABATO CITY  – All the cities in the Soccsksargen region landed in the top 10 most competitive cities in Mindanao over-all in 2018, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) today said.

Based on DTI’s 2018 Cities and Municipalities Competitive Index, Davao City was at first place followed by Cagayan de Oro City and Tagum in third place. 

At 4^th place is Cotabato City followed by Kidapawan City and Tacurong City at 6^th spot.

Gen. Santos City and Koronadal City came at 8^th and 10^th place, respectively while Zamboanga City and Ozamis City were at 7^th and 9^th place.

Davao City, the hometown of President Duterte, also toppe din three of the four categories.  It topped in economic dynamism, infrastructure and Resiliency.

Tagum City topped in the government efficiency category followed by Kidapawan City, Cotabato City, Tacurong City.

Cotabato City placed 6^th in economic dynamism and infrastructure and 10^th place in resiliency. 

The award gives recognition to different local government units in the country that show exemplary performance in the four pillars of the competitiveness index: Economic Dynamism, Government Efficiency, Infrastructure, and Resiliency.
