BANGA, South Cotabato - In line with the
Population Development (PopDev) Week Celebration, the Commission on Population
Regional Office XII in partnership with DepEd XII, conducted the 2018
Population Education (PopEd) Regional Quiz Show with the theme Informed Choice
in Family Planning Towards Empowered Filipino Families on November 23, 2018 at
Banga National High School, Banga, South Cotabato.
Edwin Quijano, POpCom-12 regional director, said the winner for
the 2018 Regional PopEd Quiz was John Kenneth V. Claudio of Tupi National High
School (TNHS) from the Division of the Province of South Cotabato. His coach is
Ms. Loida B. Pabusatan.
Coming in second place is Ralph G. Enogling of Koronadal National Comprehensive
High School (KNCHS) from the Division of Koronadal City with his coach Mr.
Emmanuel F. Gabriel.
Third place for the 2018 Regional PopEd Quiz show is Ms. Jannel A. Andrade of
Cotabato City National High School (CCNHS) Main Campus, from the Division of
Cotabato City. Her coach is Ms. Fe N. Martin.
The winners received P6,000 pesos cash prize for the 1st place with
certificate and trophy and the winning coach received P1,000 pesos cash prize.
The second place received P4,000 pesos with certificate and trophy while the
third place received P2,000 pesos cash prize with trophy and certificate.
Consolation prizes were also given to none winning contestants.
MLhuillier SOCCSKSARGEN area also sponsored the Regional PopQuiz Show and
provided bags and shirts as token for the participants.
Quijano said the winner for the PopEd Quiz show will be representing Region XII on the
National Festival of Talents, PopEd Quiz show category.
